Gia stalked into her brother’s place with her arms crossed over her chest and her face hard with anger. She stopped when she saw Seth sitting down on the couch. “Thos people are the biggest jerks I’ve ever met!” Gia yelled as she made her way over to the couch and sat down next to her friend. “What happened?” Seth asked. “It’s Nikolas, he’s such a jerk!” Gia said as she pouted. Seth smirked at her. “Gia, your so in love with him.” Seth teased. “Ahhh! You know me too well Red. But you would not believe how mad he made me today.” Gia said making a face. “Oh please do tell.” Seth said sarcastically. Gia hit him playfully on the arm as she began to speak more. “Well that twit of a girl Elizabeth came up to me while I was talking to him and asked me to leave him alone. I couldn’t believe the nerve of her, but you know what he did? Nothing! He didn’t say a word Seth, he just let her talk to me like that and then he acted like he really didn’t want to talk to me.” Gia said, her voice rising as she spoke. Seth knew she was about to explode so he put his finger over he mouth to silence her. “That guy would be crazy not to want to talk to you Gia, you’re funny, smart and never dull that’s for sure. Don’t let him get to you, if he doesn’t want to talk to you then it’s his loss.” Seth said looking down at her. “What would I do without you?” Gia said smiling up at him and kissing his cheek. “You’d be lost girl, so can we please stop talking about you for like a second and talk about me?” Seth said, Gia laughed and hit him playfully. “You want to know what I did today?” Seth asked, continuing at her nod. “Well, you’re looking at the new head bartender of club 101!” Seth said excitedly. Gia gasped as she jumped up from the couch. “Are you kidding me?” Gia asked. Seth shook his head and smiled. “Oh my god Seth that’s so great!” Gia said as she jumped in his lap and hugged him. “What do you say we celebrate?” Seth said. Gia got a huge smile on her face. “Oh yeah, I know just where to go.” She said smiling.

Nikolas couldn’t concentrate on anything since Gia left Kelly’s. He couldn’t believe that he didn’t stop Liz from saying what she said to her. He sighed, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to concentrate on his work the rest of the day until he apologized. He picked up his books and coat and headed over to the brownstone.

Luke smiled brightly when his new friends walked into his bar. “Hey kids come on in.” He said waving them over. “Now did we learn our lesson darlin?” Luke asked Gia as he leaned over the bar. Gia made a face at him. “Never!” She said crossing her arms in front of her chest. Luke shook his head slowly. “Well I guess I can’t really say anything, I’m just as bad.” He said grinning. “So what are you two up to?” Luke asked. “Well, we’re here to celebrate, I got a job today.” Seth said proudly. “Did you now? Where ya working?” Luke asked. Gia and Seth shared a look. “Club 101.” Seth said quietly. Luke just rolled his eyes. “Well you could have come here to look for a job.” Luke said. “I need one!” Gia piped up excitedly. Luke looked at her oddly. “Um sorry darlin but I don’t think my costumers could handle you. Plus you’re too good for this place, you deserve much better.” Luke said. Gia smiled at him. “That doesn’t help my problem though.” Gia sighed as she rested her head in her hands. “Oh well! I’ll find something. So how about a drink?” Gia asked raising her eyebrows. Both men looked at each other, cringing when they remembered the last time she asked that.

Nik pulled up to the brownstone and made his way up the steps, he knocked on the door and was greeted by Taggert. “Hi Taggert is your sister here?” Nik asked. Taggert eyed the man before him, he knew all about his family and did not want Gia mixed up with someone like him. “No she’s not.” Taggert said shortly. “OK, well do you know where she is?” Nik asked. “Look I don’t want you anywhere near my sister. I know what your family is like and I don’t want her involved with you. Besides Gia is a very complicated girl, it would be best if you just stayed away from her.” Taggert said in a warning tone. Nik stood tall and didn’t back down. “In case you haven’t noticed Taggert your sister is not a girl, she’s a woman I think she can decide for herself who she associates with.” Nik said. Taggert glared at him. “I’m warning you Cassadine, if you hurt her, I’ll kill you.” Taggert said coldly. Nik slowly nodded his head. He turned and got in his car. Since Lucky was his connection to her, he needed to find him. He thought about where his brother might be, Luke’s. He drove off and headed for the bar.

“OK, I’m going to go sing.” Gia announced as she stood up and walked over to the small stage in the corner. She had a lot more energy after having a drink in her. Luke cringed and started to stop her but Seth put his hand up to stop him. “No man she’s good.” Seth said as he turned to watch. He smiled as Gia’s voice broke out in a low bluesy voice.

Gia was singing to the words of the Billie Holiday song when Lucky walked in. All was quite in the small club as they all listened to her sing. Lucky sat down, barely seeing the stool as he was mesmerized by Gia’s voice. The door opened and he quickly glanced over to see his brother walk in.

Gia’s eyes were closed as she swayed to the rhythm playing in her head. She didn’t see the way Nik was staring at her. She captivated him and all he could do was watch her and let her sweet voice flow through his head. He closed his eyes as well as she continued her song.

Gia opened her eyes to find Nikolas standing there, his eyes were closed and she was sure she was the reason for that. All thoughts of being mad at him quickly faded as she saw him standing before her. She improved her voice even more for him. She watched as his eyes opened and connected with hers. They stayed locked in a powerful hold as Gia sang on. She smiled at him and slowly walked up to him.

Gia sang to him with all the emotion she felt from the song she was singing. She never broke eye contact with him. Tears filled her eyes but didn’t fall and he watched as they sparkled when they danced across his face. Nik was lost in them. He swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat as he listened to her words. He heard the emotion behind them and felt her desperate need as she sang them. He could barley breathe as he watch her hand reach out and lightly caress his face as she finished her song.

Luke, Seth and Lucky broke the moment when they and the rest of the bar broke into a cheerful applause. Gia turned around and smiled at all of them as Nik clapped as well. “Well I think I’ve found my self a new singer.” Luke said happily. Gia beamed over at him. “See I wasn’t that bad.” Gia said making a face at him. “Wasn’t that bad? Hunny you’ve got the voice of an angel.” Luke said as he walked around the bar and gave her a hug. “Thanks Luke.” Gia said in his ear and then pull away. She turned around to see Lucky staring at her. “What Spencer?” She asked smirking. “I had no idea you could sing like that Gia, that was beautiful.” Lucky said. Gia smiled at him. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you Lucky.” She said. She snuck a quick glance at Nikolas and saw the jealous look on his face before he looked away. He hadn’t said anything to her. She suddenly remembered what happened earlier that day at Kelly’s. “Why are you here?” She asked him rather coldly. He looked up at her in shock, she was standing right in front of him now. “I uh came to see you.” Nik mumbled. Gia crossed her arms in front of her in a defensive pose. “Why?” She asked. Nik looked up at her, knowing she was mad at him. He gestured that she fallow him outside. She nodded her head and headed out; she turned around, waiting to see what he had to say. He wasn’t looking at her as he spoke. “I wanted to say, I’m sorry.” Nik said quietly as he looked up at her. “For what?” Gia asked looking into his eyes. Nik looked down again. “Gia. I can’t, I can’t be with anyone right now. My life is really complicated and I don’t have time for a girlfriend. I know I was rude at Kelly’s today and wanted you to know that I’m sorry. But I just don’t want you to get hurt.” Nik said. Gia stepped closer to him, forcing him to look at her. “Nikolas, I can’t explain it but I feel like I know you, like we were meant to meet each other. Can you tell me that you don’t feel that way, honestly?” Gia asked. This was getting to intense for Nik so he turned away from her. “I can’t Gia, I’m sorry but all I can give you is friendship right now. Can you except that?” Nik asked as he turned around to face her. Gia smiled devilishly and nodded her head. “I can be friends Nikolas, but I’m not going to make it easy on you. You’ll see.” Gia said as she lightly touched his face. She turned and walked back onto Kelly’s, leaving a very confused Nikolas by himself.
