CH 6 part 2
As Nik was driving, he
was thinking about Gia, alone crying in their bed, the one that they just made
love in. It ripped his heart out to leave Gia like that. He wanted desperately
to be with Gia but so many other people were counting on him right now. His
uncle worked so hard to raise him to run this empire and he was going to do it
right. If that meant being without Gia for a while he was going to do it. But
thinking about Gia he knew he had to do something. He couldn’t leave her alone
right now. So he did the only thing he could think of.
“Lucky?” “Hey man it’s Nikolas,
look I thought maybe you could hang out with Gia tonight?” Nik said into the
phone. “Yeah I know you just saw her but I think she could use some company
right now, hey thanks man!” “I’ll talk to you later bro!” Nik pushed the
end button on his cell phone.
That taken care of, Nik’s thoughts
drifted back to his business. He was so sure that this guy was going to invest
after their meeting yesterday; he was shocked that he would change his mind.
This move would be great for the business. He had to get to the guy and talk to
him in person.

Gia sobbed into her pillow, it still
smelled of Nikolas, burring her face in it she inhaled his sent, causing her to
sob even more. When her tears stopped she looked around the empty room. She felt
so alone in this cold, dark and ugly house. Getting up off the bed she headed
for the big ugly picture of ugly looking flowers hanging over the dresser. It
looked like it had been there for years. Pulling it down she slammed it to the
ground causing the glass to shatter in pieces. Next going for the vase on the
mantel of the fireplace, slamming it down causing shards of glass to spread
across the hard wood floors. Finding anything that was made of glass that she
could, she went to work breaking everything. Tears streaming down her lovely
face. She could barely feel the tiny pieces of glass hit her nude body.
“God I hate this place!!” Gia screamed,
bursting into sobs again.
When Gia calmed down she looked at the
place, glass everywhere. She bent down trying to pick them up. When her hands
began to drip blood she stopped, no longer able to take the pain. Looking down
she saw her panties she’d throne on the floor when she ran into the room with
Nik not far behind her. Putting them on with weak hands and then she searched
for her bra, finding it, she put it on. Heading for the drawer to put her
clothes on she stepped on a huge piece of glass, the shock of the pain caused
her to fall and land flat on her back, sliding across the hard wood floor she
slammed into what was left of the picture frame.
Lucky entered the house and was shocked to
find no staff there that day. The emptiness left an eerie feeling in this old
place. He thought it was creepy before but being here with no one else, gave it
an almost haunting feeling. At first he didn’t think Gia was home but then he
saw one of her shoes on the bottom of the stairs.
“Gia?” He yelled. “Gia you here?”
He yelled a little louder as he headed up stairs. Getting nervous from the
silence he walked faster. “Gia?” He said, when he reached the entrance to
the master bedroom. He could see the lights on inside. The silence was getting
to his nerves; his heart pounding he slowly opened the door. Gasping at the
sight before him. “Gia?” He said with fear in his eyes. She was sitting on
the floor half naked, looking at her bleeding hands. Looking up at him with
tear-drenched eyes, she sobbed out. “Lu….Lu..” Was all she said before she
passed out on the floor.
“Oh god Gia!!” Lucky screamed and ran
over to her. Stepping towards her he felt something sticky on the bottom of his
feet. Looking down he saw that the floor was drenched in a pool of blood.
Crouching down next to her he carefully turned her body to see where all the
blood was coming from. He gasped when he saw that the back of her arm was
severely cut, a huge piece of glass still protruding from it. Finding one of
Nik’s work shirts on the floor Lucky ripped the arm off and carefully wrapped
it around the wound, careful not to move the piece of glass. He then went over
to the phone and dialed 911. With the phone tucked between his face and his
shoulder, he spoke to the operator and then went over to Gia and held her,
stroking her face. “Oh god Gia please be all right!” Lucky said, tears
running down his face.
