Bah Humbug

She clutched the papers to her chest, pushing past the pain of the cold air hitting her face. Her coat was tightly wrapped around her but that didn’t help the cold much on this snowy December day in Port Charles. Gia practically ran to the door of the building where she worked. She let out an animalistic grunt when she stepped inside.

“It’s cold as hell out there.” She cursed. The receptionist Sue raised an eyebrow at this.

“Isn’t that a bit of an oxymoron?” Gia shrugged.

“Whatever you get it, it’s cold!” Sue smiled at her.

“Am I late for the meeting?” Gia blew out a long sigh as she said this.

“Not yet, I think you’re just in time.” Gia nodded her head and waved at Sue before heading for the conference room.

When she stepped inside, she blushed slightly as everyone looked up at her.

“Sorry I’m late.” She mumbled as she sat down. She secretly cursed Sue in her head for being wrong. Her boss, Dave Sherman cleared his throat as he continued with his lecture.

“So as I was saying, Mr. Cassadine wants us to work all day tomorrow and than the next day.” Gia heard several grunts and moans.

“Excuse me, but he wants us to work on Christmas Eve and day?” Dave looked up at her.

“That’s what I said Gia, we need to get working on that proposal so that we can present it to Mr. Cassadine by the end of the week. I don’t know about you but I haven’t gotten nearly enough work done to be ready by then.”

“I’m sure that we can work something out so that people can be with their family’s for the holiday’s. What is he heartless or something?” Gia was infuriated. She had never met “the big guy” seeing as how she had only worked there for a month, but he couldn’t be this mean.

“Look Gia unless you’re willing to work full days for the rest of the week, as well as do some work for Mike over their, we’re all staying here. I seriously doubt that you want to do that much work on Christmas by yourself.”

Gia looked around her. Out of the five other people in the room, she knew that at least three of them had kids. She was sure that the others had loved ones to spend the holidays with. “I would be willing to do that sir.” Gia said.

Dave looked at her like she was insane. “Gia I can’t ask you to do that, we should all be working. It’s not fair to you.” Gia shook her head stubbornly.

“No Really, I don’t want you all to have to work. It’s just my brother and I who live in Port Charles and we don’t really do anything for Christmas. I would be happy to work for everyone.” David continued to stare at her for a while.

“Are you sure Gia? This would mean working with Mr. Cassadine exclusively. I don’t want to have to ask you to do that.” Gia smiled at him. “I’m sure.” She nodded.

“Well then it’s settled, Gia will work the holidays for us. We’ll meet again next week to discus the project. OK well lets get to work on this proposal, it would be nice if Gia at least had something to work with.” The people in the meeting all nodded. Gia was bombarded with thank yous from everyone. They were genuinely grateful to her for offering to work so that they wouldn’t have to be away from their families at Christmas.

The next day Gia came to work, the weather was even more miserable than the day before. She was shivering fiercely as she used the key that Dave had given her and unlocked the door to her office building. She had never seen Cassadine Industries completely empty. It made her feel slightly uncomfortable. No pretty creeped out would just about sum it up. She flipped the lights on at her floor and made her way to her cubicle. She picked up the stack of files that she had collected from everyone the day before, and headed upstairs.

Gia didn’t know why she should be nervous, but she was. Meeting Mr. Cassadine was very intimidating to her. She had only heard his name. After all the company was named after him. Dave was always saying, ‘Mr. Cassadine wants this project done this week.’ and things like that. But she had never once seen him. She figured he must be mean and very crabby looking if he was making his employees work on Christmas. She tapped lightly on the door to his office and didn’t hear an answer. Moments later she tapped again and once again heard no answer. Gia sighed with frustration.

“If this guys so concerned about getting this done, you’d think he would be here to do the work himself.” Gia mumbled in annoyance. She decided to open the door and just wait for him.

Stepping inside, Gia couldn’t keep in the whistle that escaped from between her lips. She gazed up at the artwork on the walls of the office. Beautiful scenic paintings that looked so realistic that she couldn’t help herself, she reached out and touched the surfaces. She wondered where in the world the inspirations for these paintings were from. These pictures fascinated Gia who had only traveled twice in her life, and both times were to visit family in New Mexico. She sighed aloud, thinking it would be great to travel to exotic places like that. She turned around and glanced into the rest of the office, suddenly realizing that she may not be the only person in the room. She didn’t see anyone so she walked over to the chair across from the beautiful mahogany desk in the middle of the room and sat down.

Gia slipped off her coat and scarf and draped them over the side of her chair and flattened down her white sweater. She licked her dry lips, crossed her legs, and sat up straighter in her seat in preparation for meeting her boss. After several minutes in the uncomfortable position, she uncrossed her legs, placed her arms comfortably on the armrests of the chair and sat back a little. Gia was starting to get pissed. She began to tap her fingernails rhythmically on the wood armrest. This was getting ridiculous. Just as she was thinking screw this guy, she heard the sudden sound of the door being opened.

“Oh good they sent someone, we should get to work right away.” Nik glanced at the back of her head only for a moment before his eyes landed back down on the paper that was in his hands.

Gia made a face like he was an asshole that he did not catch as he walked around his desk.

“Where is everyone else?” Nik asked as he put down the paper that was in his hand.

“Um it’s Christmas eve.” Gia’s lip curled in disgust.

“Yeah s..so.” Nik’s whispered words trailed off as he finally looked up and saw the woman sitting across from him.

His lips unconsciously parted as he stared at her face. Besides the fact that she looked furious with him, her face was absolutely stunning. Her eyes were what made Nikolas’s heart pound. They danced furiously across his face.

“So some people have family’s they want to spend it with.” Gia’s answer snapped him out if his trance.

“Oh right.” He answered softly.

Gia frowned as she looked at him. Finally letting her eyes take in his appearance. It struck her that he was incredibly good-looking, and much younger than she expected him to be. He flustered her a bit now, as she glanced down at her hands. She nervously began to speak.

“So uh, what would you like to do first?” Nikolas stared at her, his thoughts going crazy.

“Excuse me?” He said.

“The proposal.” Gia held up the stack of files in her hands. Nikolas blushed slightly.

“Oh right that. Well we can start with, look I didn’t even catch your name.” Nik smiled bashfully up at her. Gia smiled at him. “It’s Gia, Gia Campbell.” She extended her hand out to him. Nikolas took her hand in his, sucking in a quiet breath as her touch did funny things to his body.

“It’s nice to meet you Gia. I’m Nikolas Cassadine.” Gia nodded her head. “I know.” She said softly.

“You must be new here. I’ve never seen you before.” He knew he would remember seeing this woman.

“Yeah I just started a month ago.” Gia noticed the way he was staring, and wondered if anything she was saying was actually sinking into his brain. Gia gave him a look. Nikolas looked away.

“I’m sorry it’s just that you’re very beautiful.” It was Gia’s turn to blush, startled by his bluntness. Her thank you was light and soft as it pushed between her lips and it made Nik’s heart flutter.

“Look I don’t mean to be rude but about the proposal, it’s just that I thought it was important. Shouldn’t we be working on it?” Nikolas frowned slightly.

“Yeah sure. I still don’t see why you’re the only one who came in today. I thought I made it clear that this was important. Dave was supposed to stress its importance to everyone. I guess you’re the only one who understood the seriousness of this project.” Gia’s mouth dropped open, suddenly reminded by her first impression of this man. The look on her face made Nik’s heart start to pound as he prepared for her to speak.

“You can not be serious. I offered to work today so that my coworkers wouldn’t have to, so that they could be with their families. FOR CHRISTMAS.” Gia was infuriated. All Nikolas could do was sit there and stare at her.

“Look at you, you don’t even care that you were about to force people to work all day today and tomorrow. That’s cruel! God what are you heartless? You must be a very lonely and cold person you know that?” Nikolas looked away with a quick force, like he had been slapped across the face.

Gia’s heart was pounding at her sudden outburst. She was breathing heavy as she sat back in her chair. She looked over at Nikolas and suddenly felt terrible about what she just said to him. The look on his face tugged heavily at her heart.

Nikolas got up from his chair and walked away from her, gazing out his window, his body leaning casually against the wall of his office. Gia got up and slowly walked over to him.

“I hate Christmas.” Gia heard Nikolas curse under his breath.

“Yeah yeah, bah humbug and all that, I get it.” She mumbled sarcastically. Nikolas turned around and looked at her sharply.

“You know what, I don’t need this. You can go now. Just go home and do what ever it is that is SO important to you today and leave me alone!” Nikolas’s arms flailed angrily. Gia glared at him.

“After all the trouble we went through?” Gia said shaking her head. “I said GO!” Nikolas turned around sharply. Gia flinched at his yell.

Nikolas felt immediate remorse when he saw fear in her eyes as she backed away from him. Nothing came out of his mouth. He tried several times to say something, opening and closing his mouth but he couldn’t find the words to speak.

Gia straightened up, resting her hand on her hip defensively as she stood staring at him. “OK somebody has got some issues.” She said sarcastically. Nikolas bit his lip to hold in his laughter. He sighed loudly. “You just don’t understand.” He said.

“Oh and how would you know? Have you ever talked to me? Maybe I would understand perfectly.” Nikolas just stared at Gia.

“Why are you even still here Gia? I said you could go home.” Nik said desperately. Gia shrugged.

“Maybe I don’t want to. Maybe I want to stay here with you.”

Nikolas laughed. “You don’t even know me.” He said as he shook his head sadly.

“Maybe I want to get to know you.” Nikolas looked up at her. The honesty he saw etched on her face shocked him.

“Do you mean that? You want to get to know me?” He stepped closer to her as he asked this, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Gia smiled as she glanced out the window.

“Well it’s gotten way worse out there since I came in. We’re the only ones here and we’ll probably be here for a while. So do we want to spend our time working or getting to know each other?” Gia arched her eyebrow in a daring manner.

Gia found it difficult to breathe as she looked at Nikolas, a bright smile slowly spread across his face.

“Well I guess if we’re stuck here.” He said in a soft voice. Gia walked back over to her chair and plopped herself down. She pointed over to his chair as he stared at her blankly. Nikolas chuckled as he walked over to his chair and sat down.

“This feels so formal.” Nik stated as he looked over at her. Gia shrugged at him.

“It should, you’re my boss.” Nikolas’s face saddened slightly. “Yeah.” He breathed.

“So why do you hate Christmas Nikolas Cassadine?” Gia asked, resting her joined hands in her lap.

“I don’t hate Christmas completely Gia, and I’m not heartless, yet.” Gia stared at his face. Trying so hard to read the man across from her.

“I didn’t mean what I said about you being heartless, I’m sorry I said that. I just couldn’t see why you would want everyone working today.”

“It’s not that I want them to be miserable. I guess that since I don’t like the holiday’s that I tend to think everyone doesn’t.” Gia looked away briefly.

“What did you mean when you said you’re not heartless yet?” She asked.  Nikolas took a deep breath as he rubbed his hands over his face.

“My family are lunatics and I’m destined to be one someday too. It’s inevitable.” Gia thought about this.

“Well trust me, I understand about family problems because mine is crazy too. But I know that you don’t have to end up like them. You just have to have the courage to be who you are.”

“Yeah well my family is not exactly average. Look the truth is that I grew up very rich; I always got what I asked for. But things are not everything Gia. Sometimes what you really want for Christmas doesn’t come. Sometimes you just want a loving family, and all you get is an expensive toy.” Nikolas got up again. He turned around so that Gia could not see the tears that were slipping down his face.

Gia knew that he was crying, and got up and walked over to him. She placed her hand on his arm and he looked down at it oddly, and then up at her face. He shook his head in confusion as he sniffled.

“It’s OK to cry Nikolas.” Gia said softly. Nikolas began to cry harder and Gia pulled him to her, wrapping her arms around his neck. Nikolas wept like he hadn’t in years, feeling safe to in Gia’s arms. Gia just held him as he cried.

Nikolas slowly stopped his crying. He inched his face closer to hers, intoxicated by her scent and numbed by the soft feel of her cheek against his.

Gia closed her eyes as their skin touched. This just felt right to her. She pulled back and looked up at him. Nikolas watched her every move. He started to ache for her to be close to him again. He knew that she was too good to be true. He started to turn away from her but she grabbed his arm and pulled him straight again. Nikolas gasped as Gia suddenly pulled her sweater over her head and dropped it to the floor. He stood in aw of her beauty.

“What are you doing?” He breathed. Gia looked up at him seductively.

“I want to make you feel better.” Nikolas shook his head.

“But we just met. Gia you don’t have to do this to make me feel better.” Gia frowned sadly.

“You don’t want to do this? It’s just that I feel this connection between us and I thought that maybe you felt it too. Am I wrong?”

Nikolas stepped closer to her; he couldn’t help the direction his eyes traveled, to her lovely cleavage. He stood in front of her as she leaned against his desk. He pulled his gaze up to her face and looked at her intently. Her chest moved rapidly as she watched him look at her. She wondered if she truly looked as beautiful as he was making her feel.

“I feel it too Gia.” Nik whispered as he reached out and touched her face. He moved his hand to the back of her head and gently pulled her towards him, pressing his lips to hers. Gia wrapped her arms around his neck as she opened her mouth and seeked out his tongue. Nikolas moaned as he touched his tongue to hers and slowly circled it. The kiss quickly turned desperate and smothering. They kissed until they couldn’t breathe, pulling away quite fiercely as they grasped to catch their breath.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Nikolas whispered as he pulled her to him and caressed her face, looking down at her.

Gia answered him with a quick nod and pressed her lips to his softly. Her hands found the top button of his shirt and she quickly started to unbutton his shirt. She touched his chest when she got down to the last one, and reached up, pushing the standard white work shirt off of his shoulders and letting it fall behind him. Nikolas stood still as he let Gia explore his muscles, captivated by the look of desire in her eyes and the small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. He grunted when Gia began to toy with his nipples, finding it terribly unfair that she had control over the touch between them. His face moved closer to hers, his breath on her face making her eyelashes flutter.

Nikolas kissed her cheekbone and then down to her neck. Gia let her hands drop to her sides as his lips tortured the soft skin of her neck. Nikolas pushed her back slightly so that she was up against his desk again. He pulled back and stepped to the side of her, he quickly shoved the stuff on his desk onto the floor. Gia lightly stroked his muscular arm as he went about the task. Nikolas let out a long breath as he moved back over to her and pulled her into his arms. Gia smiled up at him as she looked at his face. Nikolas saw this as a sign that she was with him completely in this and that she agreed with everything he was doing. Gia laughed lightly as Nikolas picked her up and sat her on his desk. Nikolas smiled at her as he backed away slightly.

“You are so beautiful Gia.” He breathed as he stroked a few of her braids between his fingers.

Gia looked down shyly. “So are you.” Nikolas let out a hardy laugh. Gia’s heart raced at the sound of it. Nikolas leaned in; he was still smiling as he kissed her again. Gia returned his kiss, her hands traveling down his body. Nikolas grabbed her hands when they reached his stomach, nearing the buckle of his pants. He pulled back, with a loud release of her lips sounding in the air.

“My turn.” He shook his head as he touched her swollen lips with the tips of his fingers. Gia smiled rather coyly at him and nodded her head softly.

Nikolas stepped closer to her so that he was between her legs. He hugged her to him, sighing at the feel of her arms wrapped around his neck. He leaned down and kissed her shoulder, his eyes fluttering closed as her smooth skin welcomed his lips. His hands ran up and down her back several times, before stopping at the coarse lace of her black bra. His fingers worked to unclasp her bra, and he slowly pulled back, all the while slipping off her bra as he moved. It dropped it to the floor and he sucked in a slow breath as he looked at her. He watched her quiver as he looked at her, and heard the sound of her jagged breaths release from between her lips. He groaned as he watched her nipples harden before his eyes. He couldn’t bring himself to do anything but stand and stare at her, marveling in the sight of her.

Gia reached out and grabbed his hands; she placed them on her breasts and looked into his eyes. Nikolas’s heart was pounding as he toyed with her breasts, his body shook as his arousal peaked and he felt himself erecting. Gia watched him, and shivered as she watched his eyes shudder slightly and his mouth drop open, a soft moan escaping his mouth. It became clear to her that he was ready for her and she quickly reached behind her and unzipped her long skirt. Nikolas moved over so that she could slip it off, as well as her boots. He braced himself against his desk and waited for her. When she got back up on his desk, all she had on were her panties. Nikolas was between her legs again, Gia threw her head back as he fiercely devoured her neck. Nikolas explored her body with his mouth, traveling down and licking her nipples, kissing her stomach, kissing his way down to the hem of her panties. Gia laid back, her legs unconsciously spreading as his head traveled even farther down her body. Nikolas ran his tongue along the crotch of her panties; he toyed with her through the material. Grazing his teeth along her mound and sucking on the damp material. Gia cried out as she grabbed his head between her hands.

“Nikolas.” She moaned between pants. Nikolas unintentionally ignored her whimpering pleas to stop his torture. He was lost, drowning in this woman. He grasped at her panties, tugging greedily to pull them off of her. When they were removed, he stuck his tongue out and licked her opening. He pulled his tongue back in and closing his eyes at the taste of her. He slowly stuck his tongue out again and this time he explored her, craving the sound of her cries as he dipped his tongue in farther and twirled his tongue inside of her. Nikolas reached a spot that sent Gia over the edge and she cried out as her orgasm swept over her. All the while Nikolas indulged himself by feasting upon the heavenly taste of her juices in his mouth, a thank you for the pleasure he had brought to her. Nikolas pulled back, his mouth feeling slightly numb as he hovered over her. Her knee was bent slightly, she was panting, her nipples were hard and taunting him. Her braids were sprawled wildly across his desk, her eyes were closed but a smile lingered on her face. Nikolas had never seen a more amazing sight in all his life. He began to unbuckle his belt. Gia looked up at him just as he pulled down his pants. He slipped out of his shoes and pulled off his socks, then his pants and underwear.

Gia licked her lips lightly, she watched him as he slowly approached her. She sat up and looked at him. Nikolas looked away, letting out a quick laugh as he stopped in front of her. Gia cocked her head to the side. She was shocked that he would be shy.

“Come here.” Gia demanded softy as she reached out to him. Nikolas looked into her eyes and walked closer to her. Gia bit her lower lip as he gazed down. He was erect and throbbing for her touch. She slowly clamped her hands around him. Nikolas grunted as his hips trusted at her touch. Nikolas slammed his hand on top of the desk as Gia began to stroke the length of him. Gia moved her face close to his, kissing his cheek.

“Are you ready for me?” Gia whispered in his ear. “Yes.” Nik’s answer took a demanding tone.

Nikolas’s mouth rested on Gia’s shoulder as she gripped his butt in her hands, positioned herself on the edge of the desk and slowly pulled him towards her. He bit down slightly on her shoulder as he entered her. The feel of her surrounding him was incredible, he dared to push farther and was shocked when she welcomed him completely. Gia pushed herself closer to him, Nikolas cried out at the feel of her thrust. Urgency took over him and he suddenly began to thrust his hips. He was standing; Gia’s back was arched back, her body looking like a sculpture of some sort of exotic goddess as it taunted his eyes. He pumped hard, their bodies slapped together rhythmically as he plunged into her repeatedly. Nikolas’s body shook, he grasped to stay standing. He suddenly pushed Gia back. He got up on the desk and hovered over her. Gia lay down and repositioned herself underneath him, tilting her pelvis up and opening her legs wider. Nikolas placed his hands on either side of her, and entered her again. He pumped urgently in and out of her, feeling his release nearing. He lost control over his thrusts and let his body thrust at an erratic pace. His orgasm came as a surprise, it rushed over his body and Gia was slightly shocked at the scream he let out. His body quivered as he continued to pump. Gia came again, and her mind was spinning as she panted and let the short spurts of orgasmic peaks rake over her body. Nikolas kissed down on her opened mouth, his breathing was muffled as he finally collapsed on top of her, moments before he pulled out of her and rolled over on his back.

“Wow.” Gia breathed. Nikolas laughed as he scooted next to her and kissed her cheek softly.

He looked into her eyes; they stayed connected like this as she moved. She was riding him; her naked body hovered over him. He was focusing on memorizing the way she looked right now. The soft glow of the daybreak light peaking through the window enhanced the curves of her body. Her nipples were hard; he could make out the tiny goosebumps perked on her skin. He knew that it was cold in his office, the blizzard that was going on outside was it’s cause. But Gia’s body glistened with a slight shimmer of sweat. Nikolas began to work his hips, pushing them off of the mahogany surface beneath him and slamming into her. He heard her grunt, watched the pleasure spread across her face and it turned him on. Nikolas suddenly sat up; he gently pushed her back so that she was laying flat on her back. He thrust into her powerfully; his ears were graced with the beautiful sound of her orgasmic cry. He grunted as this turned him on even more and he thrust forward again. He came forcefully, gripping the desk to gain control over his body as he panted. He gradually rolled over on his back.

Gia rested her head in the crook of his arm and cuddled up next to him. Her body quivering as she kissed his cheek. They lay together like this, their bodies alive and feverish for the third time that night. Nikolas looked down at her. She kissed his lips and looked up at him as she lay there. She waited there, somehow knowing that he had something he needed to say.

“Thank you Gia, for everything. You have no idea how much I needed that. Needed you.” He touched her face as he gazed into her eyes. Gia smiled and nodded her head softly. She closed her eyes, and Nikolas fell asleep to the sight of her sleeping face.

Gia sat up; her head was spinning slightly as she looked around her. She couldn’t believe that she had fallen asleep there on the hard wood desk. She looked down at Nikolas; he was stirring slightly as he lay there. His naked body was stunning; the new day brought a whole new aspect to his good looks. He was in an odd position; one arm lay draped underneath him, one to his side. His torso was twisted towards the desk and his chest and face were facing the ceiling. She couldn’t stop herself, and ran her hand up his bent thigh and then up the side of his body, all the way to his chest. Nikolas was startled by her touch. He opened his eyes abruptly. He was panicked at first, but he calmed when his eyes landed on her face and reality began to sink in.

“Hey there, remember me?” Gia’s lips curled into a soft smile. Nikolas smiled in return.

“Of course, Gia. Good morning.” He chuckled softy as he stared at her. After an entire night of looking at her, he was still in aw of her beauty and he couldn’t believe that she was here with him.

“Marry Christmas.” Gia said brightly. Nikolas quickly frowned.

“Oh not that again.” He rolled his eyes at her. Gia glared at him.

“After last night, you still hate Christmas?”

“Well Christmas eve will definitely be a lot more memorable.” Gia laughed at him.

“Hmm well how can I change your mind about that?” Gia licked her lips. Nikolas smiled brightly.

“I can think of one way.” He stared at her breast as he ran his finger over her nipple to harden it. Gia smacked his hand away.

“That’s not what I meant rich boy. Come on, what would make you believe in the magic of Christmas?” Nikolas sighed as he rested his head back on his arm.

“Look I’ve just never been into christmas. It’s just like any other day for me. Just you being here with me makes it magical.” He toyed with one of her braids as he said this. Gia smiled at his words, truly touched by what he said.

“Oh wait! I forgot I had something.” Gia jumped up and got down off of the desk. She found her purse and quickly dug for her treasure. Nikolas grinned as she pulled out two candy canes and got back up on the desk. She quickly handed one to him and he took it from her.

“What you just carry these things around in your purse at Christmas time?” He grinned wryly at her as he unwrapped it. Gia glared at him playfully.

“I bought a box if you must know. You have to buy at least one box at Christmas time. What you hate candy canes too?” She made a face at him. Nikolas looked away shyly.

“No actually I love them.” He brought his to his mouth, and began to suck on it. Nikolas pulled out the candy and licked the sticky spot on his lip, the shimmer it left on his lips mesmerized Gia. “What?” Nik mumbled. Gia smiled and leaned in, kissing his minty mouth.

“You look so adorable right now.” Gia said as she pulled back. Nikolas chuckled as he pulled her down on top him. Gia rested her head against his comforting chest. The two silently ate their candy canes together.

Nikolas suddenly sat up, startling Gia slightly by his abrupt movement. Nikolas looked down at her with concern. Gia looked at his face, starting to get worried by his behavior.

“What is it?” she asked. Nikolas’s face saddened.

“Gia who is spending Christmas without you?” He asked. Gia was confused.

“What do you mean?” Her eyebrows knitted slightly.

“Everyone has someone to spend Christmas with. Who would you be spending it with if you weren’t here with me? Do you have brothers or sisters? Are your parents still alive? God, do you have a boyfriend? Oh please tell me you don’t have a boyfriend.” Nik held his head in his hands. Gia pulled his hands away and looked into his eyes.

“Nikolas stop. First off, not everyone has someone to spend Christmas with. But I happen to have one brother who is a policeman and he works on Christmas. If anything we would meet at midnight when he gets home to exchange gifts. My mother is spending Christmas with her parents in Brooklyn, and well I have no clue what my father is doing for Christmas wherever he is. And Nikolas I have to say that I am offended that you would think that I’m the kind of woman who would sleep with a man if I had a boyfriend.”

Nikolas was suddenly ashamed that he had said that. He reached over and grabbed her hand, squeezing it tenderly.

“I’m sorry, I just found it hard to believe that a woman like you would be spending Christmas alone, you just shouldn’t that’s all.”

“Oh and a guy like you should?” Nikolas shrugged at her and looked away. Gia scooted closer to him; he was sitting with his knees bent in front of him, hugging his knees to his chest. She rested her head on his shoulder.

“I’m where I want to be Nikolas. Here with you. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. This is the best Christmas I’ve ever had.” Nikolas pulled back and looked at her in shock, on the verge of tears when he saw that sincerely in her eyes.

“Well this is without a doubt the best Christmas I’ve ever had too Gia. Now I understand that it can be special for anyone, even me. From now on I’m giving my employees four day Christmas vacations with pay.” Gia laughed.

“Don’t get carried away now.” She joked. Nikolas smiled. “I’m just saying that you’ve changed me. I love you Gia. Thank you for changing this day for me forever.” Gia smiled at him softly.

“I love you too. Marry christmas Nikolas.” She whispered, leaning in and kissing him on the lips. Nikolas closed his eyes as he kissed her back softly.

“Marry christmas Gia.” He whispered, pulling her to him and wrapping his arms around her. They sat wrapped up in each other’s arms, enjoying the view of the falling snow outside of Nikolas’s window.
