Nikolas
was driving; he had been for about an hour now. The rain was pouring down but he
didn’t care. He pulled his car over and got out, he walked up to the cemetery,
stopping when he reached the gravestone he was looking for, Stovros Cassadine.
His fathers. He walked up and touched the hard, wet stone. “Why did you do
this to me?” He said fiercely, through clenched teeth. “I’m cursed,
everything I touch I destroy! I must have so much of your blood in me. I finally
find my soul mate, the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with and
because of you and your fucked up family, she’s afraid of me. She thinks
I’ll kill her, rape her, and cheat on her. I’m going to lose her forever
because of you.” Nik’s words were sobs as spoke into the air. “I hate you!
I hate you!!” Nik screamed, tears were pouring from his eyes but they were
lost among the rapidly falling raindrops hitting his face. He stood there, and
he wept like he was never able to as a child, for himself. He hated his family.
He slowly moved to his car and got in, he was prepared to go home and try and
beg Gia into staying with him, but he knew it would do no good, she would leave
him in the end, just like everyone else did.
Gia
franticly paced the room in a fit of panicky tears as her arms were crossed
across her chest. “Gia please, you need to calm down, they will find him.”
Stefan reassured her, he knew his efforts were lost as she ignored him. After
Gia searched every room in Wyndemere for Nikolas, she came back and told Stefan
that she couldn’t find him and that’s when they determined that he had left.
Gia was worried sick about him. He was out driving in the rain in a distraught
state. Her chin quivered as she once again pictured the painful look on his face
before he left in her mind. “Gia, honey why don’t you get some sleep?”
Stefan suggested. Once again Gia ignored him, she hadn’t said a word to him
since she notified him that she couldn’t find Nikolas. She looked over at the
clock and saw that it was 4:00 in the morning. Having seen the direction of her
gaze. “It’s late Gia, you don’t look well, please go get some sleep and
I’ll wake you when they find him.” Stefan said. “Shut up! I’m not going
to sleep! I need to wait for him, that’s if he even comes back. If he dies
it’s all my fault, I was awful to him! He’s never coming back and it’s all
because of me!” Gia’s voice cut through the quiet room like a knife, she
frightened Stefan, her voice didn’t sound like her, it was a mixture of rough
and panicky. Gia broke down into a fit of desperate tears again; she had already
emptied her stomach twice from crying so much. “Oh god Nikolas where are
you?” Gia cried.
Nikolas
stepped into Wyndemere and knew that it was nearly 5:00 in the morning, he had
planed on going straight to bed in his old room but he noticed the light on in
the kitchen. He opened the door and was shocked to see Gia sitting at the table
with her head in her hands. When she raised her head to look at him, his heart
began to pound as he expected to see fear in her eyes. Instead he saw relief, a
sob escaped her mouth and Nik couldn’t believe his eyes when he watched her
get up and run towards him. Nik gasped as she threw her arms around his neck. He
sobbed as he his arms wrapped around the familiar shape of her body and held
her. They cried together as they held each other. Nikolas pulled her head back
and began to place kisses all over her face, and then her lips, her mouth felt
so warm against his cold lips. “You’re dripping wet.” Gia said with
concern. “I don’t care.” Nik said. “Nikolas I’m so sorry! I didn’t
mean to hurt you; I just, the dream was so real, and I started to doubt what I
knew was true. I was just so scared, please, please forgive me.” Gia cried as
she looked up at him with pleading eyes. Nikolas wasn’t expecting her to be
begging for his forgiveness, he thought she would be running away from him.
Gia
couldn’t tell what Nik was feeling; since he came in, he seemed like he was in
shock, he looked so lost, so hurt. She saw the relief in his eyes in response to
her reaction to him standing there, alive and safe. Like he didn’t think she
would run to him. She was relieved when she felt his arms wrap around her,
holding her tightly to him ash they both cried. She felt so safe in his arms as
they held each other. And his kisses were like heaven, light and sweet on her
face, his cold lips against her warm flesh sent shivers of excitement to coarse
through her body, and her lips to tingle as he pressed his against them. She
soon became concerned for him again as she felt his cold, wet skin against her.
“You’re dripping wet.” She had told him. He didn’t care. It seemed the
only thing he cared about was her. She needed to break the silence, the tension
between them. Her apology came out sounding desperate and pleading, but he said
nothing. Her heart pounded in fear that he wouldn’t forgive her. She nearly
passed out when he leaned in, his hands pulling her head to his and capturing
her lips in a powerful kiss. She moaned as she opened her mouth, allowing his
tongue entry and she hungrily sucked on it, desperate to taste him. Nik pulled
away breathlessly and rested his forehead against hers. “I love you Gia I, I
just want be in your arms.” Nik pleaded. Gia nodded her head and grabbed his
hand; she gently pulled him out of the room. After telling Stefan that he was
home, and Gia apologizing to him for her earlier outburst, Nik let Gia guide him
up the stairs to their room.
Gia
slowly removed Nik’s damp clothes, she didn’t say a word as she dried him
off with a towel, pulled back the sheets of their bed and helped him in the bed.
She silently removed her clothes as well, the t-shirt and jeans she had put on
after taking the shower that Stefan insisted on her taking to help calm her
down. When her clothes were removed she got in bed next to him, never breaking
eye contact with him. They stared into each others eyes for what seemed like a
lifetime, Nik finally reached out to touch her, no longer able to bear the
distance that was between them. Gia lying on her stomach facing him and him
lying on his side with his head propped up with his fist, about a foot away from
her. He brought his free hand out and slowly ran it down the soft skin of her
bareback. “Are you afraid of me?” He whispered over to her. He watched as
her chin began to tremble and her eyes moistened with tears. “No, I feel so
safe with you Nikolas, you’re so gentle and loving, I hate myself for ever
thinking that you would ever hurt me.” Gia said, her voice heavy with emotion.
“Gia.” Nik said her name in a low sob. “I would never hurt you, I love you
so much. Oh god Gia, when I saw the fear in your eyes, all I could think of was
how my mother must have looked at my father, with that same fear in her eyes.”
Nik paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I went to his grave
tonight, my fathers. He was a monster. I hate him! I’m so afraid that
somewhere deep inside, he is in me and I’ll turn out just like him one day.”
Nik said. Gia had been listening silently as he talked to her, allowing him the
freedom to let his feelings out. “You will never be like your father
Nikolas.” Gia stated as she reached up and lightly caressed his cheek. Tears
fell from Nik’s eye and he pulled her hand down to his lips, kissing it
tenderly. “I was so afraid of losing you, I thought you would be gone when I
came home.” Nik said. Gia moved her body so that she was now lying right next
to him, looking up at his face, she looked into his eyes as his hand gently
traced along her shoulder. “I’m here Nikolas, I won’t leave you ever, I
was just scared, but I love you and I know that you would never hurt me.” Gia
said quietly. Nik looked down briefly. “Are you sure? I don’t want you to be
scared of me Gia.” Nik said, his chest rising with panic. Gia shook her head.
“I need you Nikolas, I want to feel you inside of me, make love to me,
please.” Gia said looking up into his eyes.
Gia
spread her legs apart slightly, inviting him to enter her. Nikolas quickly
positioned himself between her legs and entered her body, marveling in the way
he fit inside of her perfectly. Gia wrapped her arms around his shoulders,
moaning as he pumped into her. His thrust started out fast and desperate, but
Gia stopped him. “I’m not going anywhere Nikolas.” She whispered,
reassuring him. Nikolas nodded his head slightly and began to pump gently into
her, long slow thrusts, Gia worked with him, matching his rhythm as his hips
rocked, Nik relished in the feel of her warm depths as he slid in and out of
her. Nikolas drove them over the edge and they came, together in a powerful
orgasm that clamed them both, leaving them in a magnificent state of ecstasy.
After staying connected for a while, Nik pulled out of her but he remained in
her arms, his head resting upon her comforting bosom. “Go to sleep my Prince,
I’ll be here when you wake up, I promise.” Gia said into his exposed ear as
she ran her fingers through his hair. Nik closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep
in her arms.
