CH 11

Gia woke up with Nikolas on her mind. Had last night been nothing but a dream? She thought. But the pain her body felt was a quick reminder that last night did indeed happen. Thoughts of the night before came rushing back to her. Tears started to form in her eyes. Getting out of bed, Gia headed for the bathroom to take a shower.

The hot water cascaded down Gia nude body and it felt like heaven. The water washed away her tears. The aches in her body slowly melted away. Gia rubbed the soap all over her, trying to rub away the sick smell if Josh off of her. She thought about how close she came to being raped and started to panic. How could she let that happen to her? She thought.

Then thoughts of Nikolas popped into her head. The way his eyes roamed her nude body, sending warm shivers through her. No one had ever looked at her that way. Sure there were lots of guys who noticed her, but this was different. The look she saw in his eyes made her feel like she was special. She felt so comfortable in his arms and loved the feel of his body against hers. Gia looked around in shock as though Sonny might hear what she was thinking. Love? Did she love him? She just met this man and she felt like she could spend the rest of her life with him. No Gia he’s a Cassadine! She scolded herself. She could never love a Cassadine. She pushed the thought she was having away.

Gia found Sonny on the phone when she came downstairs.

“Everything’s taken care of?” Sonny asked the person on the phone.

“Good.” He said and than hung up

Sonny looked up at Gia when she came down. Gia couldn’t shake the uncomfortable feeling she felt. It was almost like she felt naked. Like the whole word could see how vulnerable she felt. Even thought she was wearing a pair of jeans and a big sweater, she felt bare to the world.

“Good morning baby girl.” Sonny said when he saw his cousin. Gia smiled at him.

“Good morning.” She replied as she poured herself some coffee.

“You feeling OK?” Sonny asked.

“Yeah, the shower really helped.” Gia said.

“Good.”

“I need to talk to you about something Gia.” Sonny said.

“OK.” Gia said sitting down next to him on the couch.

“What’s up?” Gia asked.

“Gia, you need to promise me that you will stay away from El monstruo.” Sonny said, the name he often used for Nikolas.  

“You must promise me Gia.” Sonny said.

Gia’s heart sank. She was so afraid that Sonny would some how know this and freak out. She quickly nodded her head.

“I will Sonny, I promise.” Gia said.

“He didn’t know you were a Corthenos last night and now that he knows he won’t be the same.” Sonny said.

“OK, Sonny I trust you.”

Don’t worry I won’t go anywhere near him. Gia said.

“Good, Now come here and give me a hug.” Sonny Said.

He and Gia hugged and then Gia left to go meet Courtney for lunch at Kelly’s. Thanking her cousin for his kindness before she left.
