CH 30

“What do you want Cassadine?” Juan asked, anger seeping threw his voice.

“I wanted to know if you were all right?” Nik said looking at Gia.

“I’m fine thank you.” Gia said, not knowing where her courage came from because inside she was panicking.

“There you asked, now leave.” Juan said coldly. Nik nodded and looked into Gia’s eyes knowing that she felt the connection before he walked out the door.

“What was that all about?” Juan asked.

“What are you talking about?” Gia asked.

“Don’t play dumb Gia. Since when has our family ever said thank you to that family?” He said.

“Look he saved me. He has a right to ask how I’m doing.” Gia said.

Juan shook his head. He didn’t like that answer. He was starting to get a feeling like something was off. He would get to the bottom of it.

“All right so what do you have planed for the rest of the day?” Juan asked.

“I’m just going to hang out with Court at the mall. And then we have that family dinner tonight.” Gia said.

“Mmm yeah family dinners. I love it when Sonny and Mike cook.” Juan said with a smile.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Gia said returning his smile.

“So I’ll see you later then.” Juan stood up and kissed Gia on the cheek and walked out the door.

The minute he left Gia went running out the front door. She franticly looked around the courtyard for Nik and didn’t see him anywhere. She walked closer to the parking lot when someone grabbed her from behind. A gloved hand muffled her scream as it clamped over her mouth.
