CH 28-part A

Gia pulled up to her cottage after she got back from seeing Nikolas to find her cousins limo in the driveway. She sighed and contemplated not going in but decided that she wouldn’t get away if she tried. So she braced herself for a lecture and entered the house. The second she walked in, Sonny jumped up from the couch.

“Sonny not tonight!” Gia exclaimed holding up her hands.

“I know where you were tonight Gia.” Sonny said glaring at her. Gia’s heart began to speed up.

“You know?” She asked.

“I know that you were with that Spencer kid, Gia you need to stay away from him too.” Sonny said. Gia closed her eyes in relief.

“Sonny, he’s just a friend OK?” Gia said.

“No it’s not OK Gia!” Sonny yelled.

“Look Sonny, he doesn’t even talk to his brother. And I’m a grown woman, I can be friend with who ever I want.” Gia said strongly.

“Gia, I’m just trying to protect you.” Sonny said exasperated. Gia sighed and looked at her cousin.

“I know Sonny and I thank you for that but I can make up my own mind about who I trust.” Gia said walking up to him and touching his arm.

“OK baby girl, you can be friends with Lucky, but I don’t want you anywhere near Cassadine.” Sonny said touching Gia’s cheek. Gia nodded her head. Her heart ached and I silent tear ran down her face as she hugged Sonny.

Gia quickly turned her back to Sonny as she whipped away her tear.

“I’m going to bed Sonny, you can stay the night if you want.” Gia said weakly.

Sonny shook his head and walked to the door, he smiled at her before he walked out.

Gia ran upstairs and immediately dialed Courtney’s number. Gia told her all about the proposal and they both gushed a little. Courtney said that she would do anything she could to help them. Gia was so happy that she had a friend to talk to about it. Courtney was starting to become a great friend to her.

CH 28 Part B

“Hey Lucky I want to thank you for setting that up for me.” Nik said as he sat next to his brother on the couch.

“Yeah man no problem. You know this is actually kind of fun. Sneaking around and stuff, I like it.” Lucky said.

“Well good because you’re going to be doing a lot more sneaking around.” Nik said. Lucky’s eyebrows rose in question.

“I asked Gia to marry me Lucky and she said yes.” Nik said.

Lucky looked a little disappointed. But his expression quickly changed to excitement.

“Congratulations man!” Lucky exclaimed as he wrapped his arms around his brother for a hug.

“Now all we need to do is figure out how to make that happen.” Lucky said.

The phone ringing interrupted the conversation.

“Who would be calling this late?” Lucky asked.

He walked over to the phone and answered. He smiled when he heard Courtney’s voice over the phone. “Hey, I’m sorry that I had to act like I didn’t know you at Kelly’s today. Did Gia explain to you about our situation? Oh good. Oh that’s why you’re calling? OK. So sonny found out that she was over here?” Lucky waved his hand to keep Nik from grabbing the phone. When he ended his conversation, Lucky turned around the face a frantic Nikolas.

“What happened?” Nik probed.

“Nikolas, Sonny found out that Gia was over here but he thinks she was here to see me.” Lucky said. Nik nodded his head and paced around the room a little.

“Well that’s good. He thinks that you guys are together.” Nik said. Lucky nodded. A little scared at the prospect of letting himself go there.

“So you guys just need to pretend to be interested in each other. This is actually a good thing if you think about it. Now we can see each other more and Sonny will think she’s here to see you." Nik said.

“Yeah but we still need to be careful Nikolas.” Lucky said. Nik nodded in agreement.
