CH 9

Nik hardly slept at all that night. Thoughts of Gia kept popping in his head. God she was beautiful. He just couldn’t get the vision of her standing over josh out of his head. He had never seen anything more beautiful in all his life. He couldn’t believe that she was a Corenthos. He had heard that Gary had a daughter but his family didn’t talk much about her. Just that she was young when Gary died. His father wouldn’t even let him talk about that family in front of him and he was ordered to stay away from all of them. He didn’t even know who Juan was until he got back home after he finished school. He had seen him a few times at parties and every time he did, Juan would stare him down and Nik would always challenge his stares right back. He couldn’t stand the guy and he had never even really met him. He had met his brother Sonny though, when he literally bumped into him one day on the docks and was immediately aware if his loathing of Nik’s family. Nik never once challenged his father’s wishes to stay away from them because what he knew of them, he hated them too.

Gia was deferent from the rest of them though. He just knew she was. She intrigued him so much. He just couldn’t stop thinking about her. He wanted to kill the guy who was trying to rape her. But he knew that Gia would have tolled her cousins what happened by now and he was probably being killed at that very moment if not already.

Nik descended down the stairs, stopping when he saw his brother sitting waiting for him.

“Hey man where did you go last night?” Lucky asked his brother.

“I got tiered and went to bed.” Nik answered.

“Well, Elizabeth was worried about you.”

“You should probably go by Kelly’s today and let her know that your alright.” Lucky said.

“Yeah I will.” Nik said.

Nik thought about last night. His whole intent on going was so that he could figure out if he had feelings for her. With what happened last night, he knew that what he was feeling for Liz was nothing compared to what he felt for Gia.

“So did you have a good time?” Nik asked, Nik asked when he pulled himself away for his thoughts.

“Yeah man, I met this really cool girl named Courtney.” Lucky said, smiling.

“Oh yeah?” Nik said, his eyebrows dancing. Lucky laughed.

“Yeah, we danced all night.” Lucky said with a sigh.

Nik wished that he could tell Lucky about Gia but decided it wouldn’t be a good time so he kept quite.

“Hey Lucky can I ask you something?” Nik said.

“Sure bro, what is it?” Lucky asked.

“Do you believe in love at first sight?” Nik asked. Lucky scrunched up his face in thought.

“Man is this about Liz?” Lucky asked.

“Maybe.” Nik said, knowing that it was in no way about Liz.

“Well, yeah I think I do believe in love at first sight.”

“I think you can meet someone and just know that they are it for you.” Lucky said.

Nik nodded, what he was feeling for Gia was more then just a crush. From the moment he looked into her eyes he knew that she was the love of his life. He knew in his heart that they were meant to be together, it was fate.

“Thanks bro!” Nik said.

“Hey I have to go, I’ll catch up with you later.” Nik said, leaving Lucky wondering what just happened, completely oblivious to the fact that his uncle Stefan had heard his whole conversation.
