SCL CH 47

Gia hesitantly walked into the police station and fallowed Lucky into the room of jail cells in the back. She felt him leave and didn't know if she could do this alone. Her heart began to race when she saw Nik’s form lying on his bed. He sat up when she walked in and instantly ran over to her.

“Gia?” Nik said softly. Gia stayed a few feet away from him with her arms crossed over her chest. She was not smiling as she stood there and looked at him. All she could think about was her cousin. She began to shake her head no as she backed away from him. She couldn’t do this.

“Gia please, don’t go. What’s wrong angel?” Nik asked.

“What’s wrong? You kill my cousin and you ask me what’s wrong?” Gia breathed. Nik’s eyes rimmed with tears.

“Gia, you think I killed him? I love you I would never do that to you. I know how much you loved him. I would never hurt you like that.” Nik said. Gia was crying as she looked at Nikolas his words were warming her heart, it was what she wanted to hear since the night of Juan’s death. He saw her begin to soften.

“Gia, there was an accident and he got shot but I didn’t pull the trigger, I swear to you I didn’t.” Nik pleaded. Gia stepped towards him. She looked into his eyes. She walked up to the bars and lightly touched his messy hair with the tips of her fingers. Tears rolled down Nik’s face as he reached out and touched her cheek, leaning his head on the cell walls.

“Nikolas I..” Gia started to say but was cut off by Sonny, fallowed by two police officers coming into the cell room.

“Gia come on baby girl, get away from that man. I’m not mad at you but you need to come with me.” Sonny said. Gia looked between Sonny and Nik, not knowing what to do, who to trust or go to.

“What’s going on?” Nik asked.

“We have a witness who says he saw you shoot Juan Corinthos. You’re being taken to the prison downtown until you’re committed and charged.” One of the officers said.

Nik shook his head no. Gia started to tremble as she backed away from him, he lied to her, and he killed her cousin. “Gia please don’t go, I didn’t do it, I swear I don’t know what they have on me but I didn’t do it.” Nik begged.

Gia looked at him, if this was true that he killed her cousin, she couldn’t do this to Juan, she didn’t know what to think anymore. The officers informed them that no one could be in the room when Nik was taken out. Gia slowly turned around and fallowed Sonny. Tears rapidly fell down Gia’s face as she heard Nikolas yell after her. His screams of her name were echoing through her head. It broke her heart to hear, she cried out as she ran to the door and ran out of the police station. She stepped off the curb and ran to the other side of the street where the car was parked, in a daze, and never saw Zander walking up to the station, and never saw the car coming until it was too late and all went black.
