When Nik walked into Wyndermere he was shocked to see that the whole place was redecorated. It looked incredible. It felt so much more like a home but at the same time he felt like he was in a royal palace.
“Gia?” “Gia!!” Nik yelled. Nik’s heart soared when he saw his wife appear on the top of the stairs. She was wearing a short black leather mini skirt, knee high black boots and had on a red long sleeve shirt. She looked incredible. Gia ran downstairs toward him and he spread his arms out for her to fly into.
As soon as she was close enough to him, Gia punched him with great force in the stomach. The wind was sucked out of Nik’s body; he clutched his hands over his stomach and looked up in shock at Gia. “That’s for not calling me!” Gia yelled and turned to leave.
It took a while for Nik to comprehend what just happened but as soon as he did, he ran after Gia. He caught up to her and grabbed her arm to stop her from getting any further. “Don’t touch me Nikolas!” Gia yelled yanking her arm away. “Gia what’s going on with you?” Nik asked concerned. “Nikolas you didn’t call me once and you didn’t even say goodbye to me!” Gia said angrily. Nik lowered his head. “Gia I didn’t say goodbye to you because I thought it would make things worse.” Nik said. “And then I just got too busy to call you.” Nik said. Gia shook her head and started to walk away again, but Nik carefully grabbed her hand. “Gia please listen to me.” Nik said. Gia turned around and looked at him. “Gia I’m sorry.” “I know that’s not enough but I’m really sorry.” Nik said. “This is just so much harder than I thought it would be.” “I feel like I haven’t slept in moths!” Nik exclaimed. “I just need to get through these next few days.” “After the party on Monday things will be better, I promise.” Nik said. Gia just looked at him. “Nikolas, this little business merger is nothing, OK?” Gia said, hotly. “I know enough about this business to know that you don’t even need Jackson Incorporated’s money.” “I don’t know why you are killing yourself over this.” “Is it really more important than our marriage?” Gia asked. “Gia you know it’s not.” Nik said. “You know I love you.” Nik said, touching her face. “I just need to get past this party, and I need you to be there with me.” Nik said desperately. “Fine!” Gia yelled. “You know what Nikolas, I’ll be your little trophy wife at this damn party that’s so important to you!” “But that is all the s*** I’m going to put up with!” “If things don’t change after that then I’m not out of here!” Gia yelled. “Gia please don’t say that.” Nik said, but saw the look on her face. “Fine, just let me get past this party and then I’ll prove my love to you.” Nik said, he leaned in to kiss her.
When they pulled away Nik smiled at her. “I have some time right now, do you want to do something? Nik asked. “Well, do you want to see the house?” Gia asked. “Oh god Gia the house.” “What I’ve seen looks amazing!” “I’d love to see the rest.” Nik said. Gia grabbed his hand and guided him upstairs. “First you need to see the bedroom.” Gia stated.
“Where’s Kristina?” Nik asked on their way to the bedroom. “Oh she went away with Alexis so Lucky stayed with me.” Gia said. “What? Lucky stayed with you?” Nik asked. “Oh yeah, he stayed with me the whole time.” “He was great company.” Gia said, causing Nik to flinch. “Where is he now?” Nik asked. “Oh he went by Luke’s to go get us some food.” Gia said. “Here look!” She said, shoving Nik into the room.
Nik was shocked. He looked around the room and was astonished by the way it looked. He stopped at the picture of he and Gia on their wedding day and felt tears threaten to fall. He turned to Gia and kissed her with great passion. “I take it you like it?” Gia said with a sly grin when they pulled away. Nik smiled and nodded his head, leaning in for another kiss.
Lucky’s voice could be herd from downstairs. “Hey Gia you here?” Lucky yelled. Nik covered Gia’s mouth with his hand but she laughed and pushed it away. “Yeah Lucky I’m up here!” She yelled. “Why did you do that?” Nik whispered. Gia hit him playfully on the arm. “Hey man, your home.” Lucky said, sounding a little shocked and disappointed. Lucky pulled himself together. “Doesn’t the room look great?” He asked. “Yeah it looks incredible.” Nik said nodding. “Umm hey Gia can I talk to you for a sec?” Lucky asked.
Nik was starting to get really sick of Lucky and Gia’s littlie secret meetings they had been having a lot of lately. But he was aware that Gia would be mad if he protested about it, so he didn’t.
“Did you tell him?” Lucky asked when they stepped outside. “I couldn’t.” Gia said. “Now is not the right time, I need to wait until after the party.” Gia said. “But Gia I thought you were going to, I don’t know if I can handle it if you didn’t.” Lucky said. “Lucky I can’t tell him right now this is so big, he couldn’t take it.” Gia said. “Your right.” Lucky said, bringing her in for a hug. “He has no idea how much things changed while he was gone.” Lucky said, holding her close to him.
