CH 4

The day was crazy for Gia. After a quick introduction to the crew, she was immediately rushed into the studio for her first photo shoot with Deception. Laura’s vision for the layout was, “An evening out on the town.” Gia had on a black evening gown; it was long and clung to the curves of her body as if it were sewn onto her. Her braids were let down, some of them let undone leaving ringlet type curls to cascade down her shoulders. Lucky had to work hard to compose himself as she came out and walked onto the set. She stood in front of a backdrop that was painted to look like the night sky, a huge full moon in the corner on the top. Gia cleared her throat to get Lucky to snap out of his trance. “Shall we start?” She asked, trying not to be a bitch to him. “Uh yeah OK.” Lucky said blushing. Gia smiled as she began to pose for him as he snapped away. “Wow you’re great at this. I almost feel like I don’t have to talk at all.” Lucky said. “Yeah you’re looking at a pro here. Just watch me make magic.” Gia smiled. “Oh hey you better watch out, that head of yours will get humongous.” Lucky said sarcastically. Gia glared at him. “I’m not being big headed. I’m just simply telling you that I’m the best there is, Gia Campbell, the one and only. ” Gia answered. Lucky laughed. “Whatever princess, just try not to let that big head of yours show up in the pictures.” Lucky said laughing. Gia couldn’t help but laugh at him and Lucky captured her expression with his camera.

Nikolas walked into his mother’s office at Deception. He sat down in the chair across from her desk and waited for her. He turned around when he heard the door open. “Hello.” He smiled at her as she walked in. “Nikolas, well this is a surprise.” Laura said as she walked up and hugged him. “Yeah well Lucky convinced me to come see you on your big day.” Nik said. “Well thank you, it’s nice seeing your face. I’m pretty busy today but I would love to give you a tour of the place. I know you’ve never seen the finished product.” Laura said. “I’d like that. I’m sorry I haven’t had a chance to come and visit before this but I’ve been busy.” Nik answered as he smiled at her. “That’s OK Nikolas, come on there’s lots to see.” Laura took his arm and guided him out of the room to show him around. Nikolas tried to glance into the studio as they passed but a crowed of people were swarmed around to watch the shoot. He guessed he would have to wait to catch a glimpse of the amazing Gia Campbell. He let his mom lead him to the lobby of the building so that she could show him the beautiful landscape in the back of the building.

“Oh watch out, Gia Campbell is on fire. You are just too hot for me Gia Campbell. Oh no please don’t hit me with that look you’re killing me. You know Gia; I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I think I need a glass of ice water to cool me down.” Lucky teased. Gia laughed as she posed for him, thriving in the playful flirting that was going on between she and Lucky. It was fun and challenging for her to get him turned on. He was playing it cool but she could tell that it wasn’t all show. She was watching the way he would blush, or how his eyes would bulge slightly when she would look at him in a certain way. “OK Gia, I think 10 rolls is enough. You did a wonderful job.” Lucky said stepping back from his tripod. “I know that Spencer. Did you expect anything less?” Gia smirked. “You’re killing me with this cockiness Ms Campbell. I don’t know if I can take much more.” Lucky said. “Well tough because that’s me, and don’t call me that. It makes me think of my mother, drop the Campbell; it’s way too formal. Just call me Gia, the one and only.” She laughed. “Oh OK Gia the one and only. Well you’re dressing room is that way and you might want to go change before your meeting at 1:00, that is if you can fit in the door with that head of yours.” Lucky teased. Gia glared at him before picking up her day planner and cell phone and walking out of the studio. She was still laughing at Lucky’s comment as she walked and was completely distracted as she moved, not seeing the person in front of her before she bumped right into them roughly. “Hey, watch where you’re going jerk!” Gia yelled from the ground as she bent over to pick up the contents of her day planner that had fallen out and onto the ground. “Hey I’m sorry OK, but you were the one who wasn’t watching where you were going. Why don’t you try looking forward when you walk?” Nik said back defensively. Gia finished picking up her things and stood up, angry as hell and ready to lay into him. “And why don’t you stay out of my way!” She yelled up at him. Nikolas’s mouth dropped as he looked down at her, not believing his eyes.

Gia’s heart began to pound as her eyes connected with his. She thought her mind was playing tricks on her. They looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity. Nik’s eyes were glued to her face, entranced by her beauty. She had changed so much since he had known her. Her face had matured beautifully with age but her eyes were the same. So beautiful, he could feel himself downing in them. Feelings from his childhood came rushing back to him. The freedom of being a kid, the islands of Greece, smells and sounds of the ocean, so many memories of his childhood were flooding back into his heart and his mind as he looked at her. Gia felt those same memories rising as she gazed into Nikolas’s dark eyes. The best years of her life were slammed powerfully into her mind and her body. It was like she was back on that island, looking into the eyes of Nikolas as they sat in their favorite tree. He looked so different, so grown up. He had changed from the shy little boy she knew so long ago. He was now a tall, fully-grown incredibly sexy man with intense eyes that made her feel like he could see into her soul. She looked into those eyes and she knew it was him. Any doubts she had were gone as she looked into them. They were so deep and dark, but they still shone with the same kindness they had so many years ago.

Nik’s heart was racing as he finally found the courage to speak. “Gia?” He breathed. Gia didn’t feel like she had a voice to speak as she looked at him, her eyebrows scrunching as she struggled to find her voice. “It’s Nikolas. Nikolas Cassadine.” Nik said at her confused look. “Who?” Gia answered.
