Had a great holiday in Baguio last 15th, Jan.,2002. Our little tour business brings guests to TAM-AWAN for an experience of a "different" less comercialized Baguio, which is the summer capital of the Philippines. This time we wanted to try staying there for a change and totally enjoyed it!
The quaint tea house serves meals and the resident artists' works. Wonderful ethnic and modern works are for sale.  The village also holds workshops and festivals which makes visits more interesting. With location just outside the city  and climate no wonder the artists are inspired with their craft!
Second favorite destination or place that I love to visit over and over!
Our hut was named "BATAD" located on a higher hill right next to the view deck, it's a real Ifugao dwelling with a window on the second level. Beddings were provided complete with Ifgugao inspired woven blanket. Thank goodness because it does get very cold!
Electricity and tiled out-house are present for that basic modern convenience. Cold showers for the brave, while plug-in heaters were available to warm your bucket of H2O, for the not-so brave like me. I told you this place was different! A perfect place to get away from it all! Total quiet and peace among the lush flowers, pine trees and wonderful cool air!
Baguio, Philippines
2 night, 3 day holiday in
TAM-AWAN Artist Village, Baguio.
A total contrast in this tropical island. With an elevation of 4.3 T ft., located  70 air notical miles north from Clark and about 23 km, a 5 hr drive,  thru zig-zag roads...

IS THE ONLY PLACE IN THE PHILIPPINES THAT YOU SEE PINE TREES !!!
I've always loved going to Baguio! The great cool climate, the Australian Pine Trees, the brick homes with chimneys. Horse and trekking  trails and the Strawberry fields!
Two adorable doggies happily great guests and watch over the village. But be warned...they each have their own way of getting your attention for affection especially the female!
Feeding them from the table is discouraged please no matter how absolutely cute they try to be.
