Personality (Top 5)
1) Intelligence. If I am expected to put up with a male through the average date, he must have that spark that shows that the light is on and the wheels are turning if you know what I mean. He doesn't have to be a super-genius (obviously because I wouldn't want someone smarter than me!), but he definitely should know some words with more than two syllables.
2) Sense of Humor. Again, sitting at a restaurant waiting for food is much more pleasant when a guy understands and laughs when I say something funny. It is also important that he be amusing himself. I can't stand people who take themselves (or me) too seriously! Uggh! It's not like I want the class clown, but at least I would burn some calories from all the giggling.
3) Kindness. Its not that I necessarily want a boy scout or a peace corps wanna be. Not at all! But I need a guy who is generally nice to others and takes pleasure in doing things for people every once in a while. The selfish, ass-hole type may attract me in the beginning, but really I'll just get sick of it.
4) Sensitivity. No, I do not want a crier or a poet. I don't need to talk about my feelings all the time. I just want someone who is comfortable with and capable of sharing their emotions with me as well as listening and understanding mine. Its really quite simple.
5) Quirkiness. Really! I want someone wierd! I'm not talking about serious wierdness. No psychological disorders please! But they do need to do things that are offbeat like have wierd sayings and random thoughts. Maybe a little fetish here and there. An obsession with something unique. The main thing is that they share the wierdnesses with me and appreciate mine as well.
Appearance (Top 5)
1) Solid build. I want a guy with some meat on his bones and a bit off chubbiness can be nice too, but I want to see muscle definition! I also like skinny guys though. Meh. The main thing is that they have muscles, but not huge, gross veiny muscles. You know what I mean. I like strong guys! Yay for buffness!
2) Good hair. This is probably one of the most subjective criteria. The main thing with hair is evidence that some effort was made to do something with it. No messy, too long, hat hair. Right now I'm into spikes. Gel is good. Short is good. Brown is good. Dye is fun, but not obligatory.
3) Nice eyes. Little bitty eyes and pale eyes don't really do it for me. Deep brown will do, but I love bright blue, green, and hazel. And I like them big and inquisitive looking. They also need to be expressive.
4) Decent height. While I think short guys are cute, deep down, I want a big, tall, manly man that will engulf me in a hug. Actually, no giants either. I'm talking like 5'9" to 6'1" as ideal. I like to be able to rest my head comfortably on his shoulder while slow dancing. *sigh*
