Summary: Glavine sleeps and is momentarily cute and Maddux and Spooneybarger
have an interesting discussion. Well, I though it was sort of interesting,
I don't know that *you* will...
Notes: Again, I'm behind. Forgive me. This is the flight in between Glavine's
win to salvage a split in Philly and Maddy's first start in Florida.

The flight to Florida was fairly long. They were glad to split the
Philadelphia series, though they certainly felt like they should've taken
at least three out of four. There were some quiet murmurs on the plane,
but mostly everyone was asleep.

"Ready for tomorrow?"

Maddux looked up at Chipper Jones. "You'll give me lots of run support just in
case?"

Chipper laughed and went back to his seat. Greg sighed and closed his eyes. He
woke up about an hour later. "What are you doing?"

"Sh," Tom muttered. "You're comfortable."

"Dude we ARE on a plane."

"I'm not, like, on top of you or anything. This is allowed."

Greg blinked sleepily. "Oh. Ok."

Tom sighed, his breath warm on the other pitcher's neck. Maddux rested his
cheek against Glavine's hair. "I'll go back to sleep now."

"You're being all affectionate and cute and stuff."

Tom raised his head enough to glare, then burrowed back into Greg's neck and
shoulder, sighing happily again. "I LIKE touching you."

Greg wrapped his arm around Tom, his other hand trailing through the short
hair. He woke up again when he felt eyes upon him. "What the hell are you
doing?"

Tim smiled. "Nothing, nothing. Just going to the bathroom."

"Then keep moving."

"Oh, but you're just so cute."

Maddux swatted him and Tim giggled and moved on. On the return, he sat in the
empty seat across the aisle. "How far away are we?"

"Couple hours," Greg replied. "You aren't going to leave me alone, are you?"

"Nope."

"Did you want something?"

"Actually..."

"What is it?"

"You know a couple weeks ago, when you guys were teasing me about Fost?"

"Yeah," Maddux said. He frowned. "Don't take us seriously. We were just
kidding."

"I know. But...did he...well..."

"Spit it out, kid."

"Doyouthinkhelikedme?"

"You know, Tim, I don't know. I mean, I know he liked you, but I wasn't really
analyzing whether or not he was gay."

"Ok."

"What did you guys say to each other when he got cut?"

"Not much. It was kind of...awkward. With me making it."

"Well, my advice would be give him a call. Ask how Richmond is. Bitch about
your last couple games."

He nodded slowly. "Just talk to him?"

"Just talk to him."

"Yeah...I dunno, though. We're pretty different."

"I think he might be worth the effort, Tim. It just matters if you think so."

"Yeah. He is," Tim said softly.

Maddux nodded and Glavine shifted on his shoulder. Greg stroked his neck
gently and the still-sleeping pitcher sighed and nuzzled back into the
juncture of Greg's neck and shoulder. Maddux smiled.

Tim shook his head. "You guys are so fuckin' adorable, it's sick," he said,
heading back to his seat near the front.

But Greg could see the envy in his eyes.
