Summary: Parker forgets he's sick, scares Kevyn, and tells Billy and Dame what's going on.
Notes: It's short, but it needed to end there or the next part would be disjointed. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it.
Well, I tried to find Billy and Damon to tell them what was going on. I tried to find Kevyn again. But I couldn't, and my body was failing fast on me. Overcome by a fit of coughing, I stumbled back to my room and collapsed on my bed. Before I had time to process, I was asleep.
When I woke up, it was dark in the room. I could see a figure moving on the other side, and I struggled to a sitting position. "Kev? Is that you?"
He turned around. "You should be asleep."
"I was asleep." I stood up shakily. "Are you ok?"
His hand was bandaged. "Yeah. No stitches. Should be ok in a day or so."
"Lucky, I guess."
He nodded. "You went to Brown."
"I had to, Kevyn. I had to. I'm the captain. I'm supposed to keep the team dynamic right. The team dynamic isn't right when one player is harassing another."
"But...getting Neo kicked off...he had a lot of friends."
"I don't care! You are an integral part of this team! I'm keeping you happy!"
He shrugged. "Whatever, Parker."
Throwing my hands up, I sat down on my bed again. "I didn't know what else to do!"
"You could've just...I dunno, talked to him."
"If I'd seen Neo, I would've killed him."
Kevyn looked genuinely startled. "Why?"
"Because he hurt you, Kevyn! Because he...he hurt you, and I care about you, and I'm sick and shouldn't be talking at all right now 'cause I don't know what I'm saying, and-"
He stared at me in shock for a moment, then stormed out of the room. I slid to the floor, covering my face with my hands. How could I have been so stupid? I wasn't a good captain...I wasn't even a good friend.
I don't know how long I sat there before Billy and Damon came in. They sat on either side of me, and I could sense the worried glance that exchanged over my head. "Park? What's wrong? We saw Kevyn leaving, he had his hand bandaged. What's going on?"
"I'm such an idiot."
"What? What happened?"
"I...I told Kevyn I cared about him. He'd just been sexually harassed, and I tell him I fucking like him! Now he's going to think I'm as bad as Neo!"
"Whoa, wait a minute. Neo has been harassing Kevyn?"
I nodded and started to speak, but I was seized by a fit of coughing. They were painful coughs, and I couldn't catch my breath. Spots floated in front of my eyes, and then suddenly, everything went black.
