Picture this...

You are walking down a crowded street.  The atmosphere around you is busy and careless.  Everyone is going his or her own way, thinking only of themselves and of where they are going.  No one notices you.  No one sees you.  No one realizes that you are walking beside them.

This area is still relatively new to you.  You feel lost, although the other people, going their own ways, seem to unwillingly guide you.  You feel as if you are following all of the people who walk ahead of you, even though you have your own destination in mind.  You feel alone, although you are surrounded by people.  You begin to wonder if these people are as lost as you...

As you stand on another street corner, waiting to cross the street within a huge mob of people, you notice something out of the corner of your eye.  You feel a soft breeze brush against your face, almost like a caress, as you study the girl who walks past you.  She seems familiar, but within the crowd you can't tell her specific features.  As your gaze follows her, you notice that she is walking away from you... and from where you were going.

A gentle wind seems to blow from behind you, pushing you toward the same direction where that girl was heading.  You could've sworn that it was her... but what on earth is she doing here?  Why would she be here?  No... no, it couldn't be her...

As you turn around to face the direction that you were going to take, you find the crowd that had once surrounded you has crossed the street... and you are there alone, waiting for the light to change again.  The wind blows harder, piercing your eyes and tugging at your hair.  You turn your head, avoiding the stinging of the harsh breeze, and you realize that that girl is still there.  She stares at you, a familiar glint in her eye, but she turns and walks away.  You could've sworn that that was her!  It had to of been her... what if it
is her...?

The wind settles down as, for a split second, you think of following her.  As soon as you refuse the thought, the breeze starts up again.  Why on earth should you follow her?  What if it isn't who you think it is... that girl looks like every other girl that you've come across in this busy, heartless town... it couldn't have been her.  Besides, you have to go somewhere... you have a planned destination to head off to.  If you follow her, you'll just get lost in this place...

And maybe that's where you want to be...

Lost.

As the light changes, giving you permission to cross the street, you...
