VanHOUTEN, Howard R.

Age 82, passed away November 18, 1995, at his home after a long illness. Born January 2,
1913 in Holland, MI, to Robert and Bessie VanHOUTEN. Mr. VanHouten retired in 1975 from John Henry
Printing Co. after 27 years of service. He was a life long member of Lansing Seventh-Day Adventist
Church where he served as an Elder, Deacon and sang in the Choir. He was preceded in death by his
son, Howard Thomas. Surviving are his wife of 59 years. Naomi; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth
Ann and John COPIN of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Janelle (Jan) GABAN, Jeff and Greg COPIN;
brother, Norman (Dorothy) VanHOUTEN of Farmington. Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday,
November 21, at Lansing Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5400 W. St. Joe, with Pastor Daniel Tower
officiating. Interment in Delta Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Tiffany
Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to Lansing
Seventh-Day Adventist Church School Building Fund or to Hospice of Lansing.
