Age 70, died March 6, 1990. Was born April 29, 1919 in Canada, lived in Lansing for 50 years.
She belonged to many organizations including past President of Toastmasters, Sanctuary Renewal
Fund, Radio Talking Book, Non-smoking Clinic and Literacy Club. She attended the Seventh Day
Adventist Church in Lansing and retired in 1981 from Social Services Department of State of
Michigan. Surviving are daughter, Carol (Andrew) TOWNSEND of East Lansing; son, Thomas F. of Las
Vegas; daughter, Jane (Doug) WEDLEY of Lansing; sister, Doris W. WHITING of Port Huron; 3 nephews,
Gary (Loann) WHITING, John (Sharon) WHITING, and William (Sheri) WHITING, all of Port Huron.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tiffany Funeral Home, where the family will
receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be
made to the Michigan Lung Association, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 5400 W. St. Joseph,
Lansing or the charity of one's choice.
