Age 84, died Wednesday, November 5, 1986 at a local hospital. He was a resident of Lansing for the past 67 years,
coming from Shepard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and 1 son, J.C. SWIX. Surviving are 4 sons, Eugene C.,
Kenneth, and Bruce L. all of Lansing and Douglas D. of Ypsilanti; 2 daughters, Mrs. Eleanor LEMON of Holt and Mrs. Ruth
Ann DEDAFOE of Mason; 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held
Friday, November 7, 1986 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel In The Pines Funeral Home with Pastor Jake P. Heerema of the
Covenant Reformed Church officiating. Interment in West Carmel Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will receive friends
Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home, 101 W. Jolly Road.
