Age 54, died Thursday at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1908 in Charlotte and was a resident of
Lansing for 45 years. Surviving are her husband, Romaine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Eleanor BARNHART and Mrs. Ruth Ann PEDAFOE
(DEDAFOE), both of Holt; 5 sons, Jack of Holt, Eugene, Bruce, Kenneth and Douglas, all of Lansing; 18 grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs.
Edith ELKINS of San Jose, Calif.; 1 brother, Robert FOSTER of Lansing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Saturday from
the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home. Rev. Albert W. Frevert officiating. Interment in West Carmel Cemetery, Charlotte.
Pallbearers will be Orval Burdick, David Root, Dennis Ball, Ernest Abbott, DeWaine Abbott and Norman McAllister.

Mrs. Helen SWIX Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Helen M. Swix, 54, of 3016 Stabler St., died Thursday at a local hospital.
A native of Charlotte, she had been a resident of Lansing 45 years.
Surviving are her husband, Romaine; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor BARNHART and Mrs. Ruth Ann PEDAFOE, of Holt;
five sons, Jack of Holt, and Eugene, Bruce, Kenneth and Douglas, of Lansing; 18 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edith
ELKINS of San Jose, Calif.; and one brother, Robert FOSTER of Lansing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home. Burial will be in
West Carmel Cemetery, Charlotte.
