SMITH, M. Bernice
Lansing
Age 90, passed away June 14, 1993. She was born on December 5, 1902 in Loretto, Michigan,
and has been a resident of the Lansing area since 1920. She was a graduate of E.W. Sparrow of
Nursing (1924); was retired as a Registered Nurse, after many years of service; and was a member
of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Surviving are 2 daughters, Alice (William) WILSON of
Lansing and Bernadine (George) BARNES of Williamston; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and
1 great great grandchild, She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C.; and 1 son, Grover
C. Religious services will be conducted by The Rev. Paul C. FREDERICK, of Mt. Hope United
Methodist Church, at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 1993 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel
with interment in Rowley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in
memory of M. Bernice Smith.
