SHIVELY, Max Rozell
Lansing
Age 80, passed away on May 21, 1992. He was born in Hastings, MI on December 5, 1911, and
had been a resident of Lansing for most of his life. Mr. Shively, while still a resident of
Hastings, was a Radio Operator on the Robin-Goodfellow ship; an avid Ham Radio operator whose
call letters were W8IK; taught youth group activities for the Christian Youth Crusaders (CYC);
was an Electrician at the Lansing Boys Training School for 18 years; worked as an Electrician in
several local factories for many years; and was a member, Sunday School Teacher and
Superintendent of the North Lansing Free Methodist Church, now known as the Delta Haven Free
Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Jeanetta; 4 daughters, Janis and husband, John
CLINKSCALE, Ronna SHIVELY, Darla SHIVELY, all of Lansing, Susan and husband, Bryan DANBY of
Portland; foster son, George DARLING of Lansing; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister,
Thelma McGOWAN of Lansing. Religious services will be conducted by the rev. Ralph H. FUNK of
Delta Haven Free Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 1992 in the Estes-Leadley Greater
Lansing Chapel, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Rich,
Todd Rash, Steve Frayre, William Perry III, Richard Seperic, James Mohre. The family will
receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be
made to the Delta Haven Free Methodist Church.
