Hazel DENBY SHEADER
Hazel DENBY Sheader, age 96, formerly of Eaton Rapids, died Monday, December 11,
1989 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility in Charlotte. She was born April 14, 1893 in
Tompkins Center daughter of James and Ada (HENRY) HOWE. Hazel was preceded in death by her
husband John DENBY in 1948 and later her husband Henry SHEADER in 1955. Also preceding her in
death were 4 children: Wayne DENBY, Laura DELOS, Don DENBY, and Douglas DENBY.
Surviving are 4 children: Lucille CLUTTER of Eaton Rapids, Irene ANDERSON of Mason,
Kenneth DENBY of Leslie and John DENBY of Chicago, IL; 2 brothers Harry HOWE and Harold HOWE both
of Eaton Rapids and sister Margaret PORTER of Eaton Rapids; many grandchildren, several great-
grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 14, at 2 p.m. from the Skinner
Funeral Home with the Rev. James Mitchum from the Robbins United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment followed in the Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids on the Denby family plot. Casket
bearers were: Michael Keys, Robert Fuller Jr., Barry McKessy, Stanley Norris, Frederick Denby
and George Howe.

great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2
p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
at the Funeral Home.
