John QUINCEY
John Quincey, 77, died Aug. 12, 1998. Born Sept. 3, 1920 in Metheringham,
Lincolnshire, England, Mr. Quincey was a resident of Lakeland, Fla. for 13 years, moving there
from Haslett. He worked at Cleveland Heights Golf Club in Lakeland for 12 years and was Service
Manager at Al Edwards Lincoln-Mercury for many years then Mike Miller, and retired from Story
Olds in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II as a Sergeant and a former member of St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Alice; five daughters, Patty (Art) TRELSTAD
of Holt, Sister Barbara QUINCEY of Jackson, Sue (Jim) CANAFAX of Webberville, Mary (Dennis)
TOWNLEY-BARRETT of East Lansing and Cathy (Bruce) BISEL of Dallas, Texas; one son, John (Patty)
of Herndon, Va.; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mary BOES of Livonia.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Aug. 15, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing with the Rev. Msgr. David M. Stotenbur, Pastor, officiating.
