POWERS, Percy J.

Age 69, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 1977 at a local hospital. He was a resident of Lansing for 3
years. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard POWERS on December 20, 1971. Mr. Powers was
a member of South Lansing Church of Christ. He was employed by The State Journal for 25 years in
the Composing Room retiring in June of 1973. Surviving are his wife, Grace I.; 1 son, Robert P.
POWERS of Lansing; 3 grandsons, Douglas POWERS of Lansing, Ryan POWERS of Lansing, and Scott POWERS
of Ohio; 1 granddaughter, Lorie POWERS of Lansing; also surviving are George FOOTE of Grass Lake, and
Robert FOOTE of Jackson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 12 noon at the Palmer-Bush Funeral
Home with Rev. Robert Palmer of South Lansing Church of Christ officiating, interment will be in
Woodlawn Cemetery, Leslie, Michigan. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at
the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Don Custer, Wayne Custer, Charles Fortman, Al Cripe, Doug
Williams, Pennell Moore.
