Horace PORTER

  Horace (Paul) Porter, 73, of 303 Leonard St., Eaton Rapids, died Friday, May 23 at a Lansing hospital.
  A veteran of World War II, Mr. Porter was employed by the Chrysler Corporation prior to his retirement. He was a member of Royal Oak Lodge 464 F and AM; Eaton Rapids Chapter 24 RAM; Eaton Rapids Chapter 241 OES; Charlotte Commandery 37 KP; VFW Maple City Post, Charlotte; and DAV Capitol City 8.
  He is survived by his wife Margaret; three sons, Kenneth of Milwaukee, Donald of Capac and Paul of Constantine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Betty MILLER of Garden City.
  Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon, May 27, at the Shelly Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Interment was at Rosehill Cemetery, where graveside military services were under the auspices of VFW Maple City Post.

  Horace P. Porter, 303 Leonard, Eaton Rapids, age 73, died Friday, May 23, 1980 at a Lansing hospital. He was born July 29, 1906, in Boston, Mass., the son of Horace and Emma PORTER.
  Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Chrysler Corp. Porter was a Veteran of WW II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Royal Oak Lodge #464 F and AM, Eaton Rapids Chapter #24 R.A.M., Eaton Rapids Chapter #241 O.E.S., Charlotte Commandery #37 K.T., V.F.W. Maple City Post of Charlotte, and DAV Capitol City 8.
  He is survived by his wife Margaret; three sons, Kenneth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Donald, Capac and Paul of Constantine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Betty MILLER of Garden City.
  Masonic memorial services were conducted Monday, May 26, at 8 p.m. by the Eaton Rapids Lodge #63 F. & A.M. at the Shelly Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Paul Mergener officiating.
  Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jim Howe, Fred Moul, Otis Waters, William Brough, Blaine Peterson and Victor Alt. Graveside military services were under the auspices of V.F.W. Maple City Post of Charlotte.
