OTIS, Luella V., 97, died Thursday. Services 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist
Church of Mason. Arrangements by Gorsline-Runciman Ball-Dunn Chapel, Mason.

Mason
At age 97, Luella died in her sleep July 18, 1995. She was born in Stockbridge and was
preceded in death by her husband, L.C. OTIS in 1980. Luella had a deep devotion to her home and
family; and is survived by a son, Austin J. (Geraldyne) OTIS of Stockbridge; and a daughter, Belva
L. (James) COTTON of Mason. She was a friend, strength and inspiration to 13 grandchildren, 22
great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. She was a Sunday School Teacher at the
Mason Methodist Church for many years and her faith was strong. She worked in defense plants in
both World War I and World War II; and in food service at M.S.U. Her greatest pleasure was working
on the farm with her husband and in her garden. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20,
11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Mason, 201 E. Ash St., Mason, with the Rev. George R.
Grettenberger officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at
the Gorsline-Runciman Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, beginning Wednesday 6 p.m., where
the family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to Family
