MENDELSOHN, Donald Steadman

Age 56, passed away July 10, 1984. Mr. Mendelsohn had been a resident of the greater Lansing area since 1941. He was a graduated of East Lansing High School and Michigan State University, currently employed with Fisher Body Corp. as a Statistical Analyst and an Instructor of Labor Relations with Lansing Community College. Mr. Mendelsohn was the recipient of the General Motors Award for Excellence in Community Activities, past President of the Mt. Hope School P.T.A., active with the Band boosters of Walter French Junior High School, the Boy Scouts of America, former charter member of the Tri-County Rail Council, member of the Unity Church of Greater Lansing and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are wife, Dale; 2 sons, Paul T. and James S. MENDELSOHN both of Lansing; 1 daughter, Melinda D. MENDELSOHN of Lansing; mother, Mrs. Maym MENDELSOHN of East Lansing; 1 brother, Paul A. MENDELSOHN of Mason. Religious services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Fri. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with Rev. L. Richard Ammons of the Unity Church of Greater Lansing officiating, with graveside services at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manistee, MI. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thurs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 4000 W. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48917 in memory of Donald Steadman Mendelsohn.
