Funeral services for Mr. McBride, a retired Eaton County sheriff deputy, will be held Thursday,
Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Berl Field Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas PETERS of the Dimondale Methodist
Church officiating. Graveside military services will be conducted by the inspector-instructor
staff of the U.S. Marine Corp of Lansing. Pallbearers are past commanders of Dimondale American
Legion Post 515: Donald Bates, Francis Bryan, Jack Case, John Engel, Emerson Goff and Reo Goff.
Mr. McBride was a life member and the first commander of Post 515. Interment in Dimondale Cemetery.

Roy M. McBRIDE
Roy M. McBride, 73, of 10574 Dimondale Highway, died Monday after a lengthy illness.
A resident of the Dimondale vicinity for more than 50 years, he was a veteran of both
World Wars.
He is survived by two sons, Esmond of Anderson, Calif.; and Richard of Charlotte;
three daughters, Mrs. Francis JONES of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Mildred WRIGHT of Eaton Rapids, and Mary
McBRIDE at home; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille TIMM of Tuseola, Ill.; Mrs. Blanche PEARSON of Newman, Ill.;
and Miss Ellen McBRIDE of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be in the Berl Field Funeral Home, Dimondale, Thursday at 2 p.m.,
with burial in Dimondale Cemetery.
