MARRISON, Lawrence A.

Age 63, died Wednesday May 27, 1970 at a hospital in Ann Arbor. Mr. Marrison was a Lansing resident for the past 50 years coming from Charleviox and was owner of Larry's Second Hand Store, 1814 S. Washington Ave. Surviving are the wife, Ina, two daughters, Mrs. William (Viola) WARNER, and Mrs. Robert (Virginia) NIKLAS, both of Lansing; six grandchildren; six brothers, LaVerne, Myron, both of Fla., Floyd of Lansing, Forrest of Laingsburg, Roland and Clarence A. both of Shaftsburg; five sisters, Mrs. Doris MOORE of Lansing, Mrs. Geneva LONG of Bath, Mrs. Lulu PIERCE of Lansing, Mrs. Ruby McNUTT of Williamston, and Mrs. Hazel LABERTEAUX of Haslett. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Palmer-Bush Funeral Home. The family will meet friends at the funeral home, 7 to 9 p.m. evenings.

MARRISON Services Monday

  Lawrence A. Marrison, 63, operator of Larry's Second Hand Store, 1814 S. Washington, for 26 years, died Wednesday in University Hospital, Ann Arbor.
  Mr. Marrison, who suffered from leukemia, gained a reputation in the Lansing area for civic accomplishment and assistance to the needy. During his eight weeks of hospitalization, he received more than 700 cars and letters from friends and well-wishers in the community.
  Mr. Marrison often donated used furniture items to needy families and he took special pleasure in helping young couples outfit their first apartment.
  Members of his family said the second hand store will be sold. When Mr. Marrison recently became ill, the store was closed for the first time in 26 years.
  He was a Lansing resident for 50 years.
  Surviving are his wife, Ina; two daughters, Mrs. William WARNER and Mrs. Robert NIKLAS, both of Lansing; six grandchildren; six brothers, LaVerne and Myron, both of Florida, Floyd of Lansing, Forrest of Laingsburg, Roland and Clarence A., both of Shaftsburg; five sisters, Mrs. Doris MOORE of Lansing, Mrs. Geneva LONG of Bath, Mrs. Lulu PIERCE of Lansing, Mrs. Ruby McNUTT of Williamston, and Mrs. Hazel LABERTEAUX of Haslett.
  Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Palmer-Bush Funeral Home with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
