MacLEOD's Injuries Take Life
Charlotte - Eaton County Probate Judge Angus N. MacLeod of 813 N. Sheldon, Charlotte, died this morning at
Hays Green-Beach Hospital from injuries he suffered in an auto accident Dec. 30.
Judge MacLeod had been confined to the hospital with several fractured ribs since the accident which happened
five miles south-west of Lansing on U.S. 27.
He had been a lifelong resident of Charlotte, where he was a practicing attorney.
Judge MacLeod served as Charlotte Municipal Judge for 10 years before he was elected to the probate bench
three years ago.
He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, the Charlotte Kiwanis Club, Charlotte Lodge, 120, F&AM, and
the Horace Maynard RAM.
He was also a member of the Knights Templar, the DeWitt-Clinton Consistory of Grand Rapids and the Saladin
Shrine of Grand Rapids.
Judge MacLeod also was a member of the Michigan Probate Judges Association and the Michigan Municipal Judges
Association.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, and his mother, Mrs. Theresa MacLEOD of Charlotte.
A Requiem Eucharist will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns Episcopal Church
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
