LETT, Rosetta Ida Listicia SHADD
Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died October 16, 1998 at the age of 91.
Born May 6, 1907 in Buxton, Canada to Garrett SHADD and Anna (TANN) SHADD, she was preceded in
death four months ago by her husband Fay William LETT after a marriage of 73 years. She was also
preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lois METOYER; daughter-in-law, Ruby LETT; and
brother-in-law, Richard LETTS. Rose Lett, as she was called, worked hard to help her son "Bill"
establish Lett's Wholesale which is now known as Lett's Bridal Shop. She was one of her son's
main motivators. Survivors include: 3 children; son, Gerald "Bill" LETT of Lansing; daughters,
Patricia (Alvin) PICKETT of Port Charlotte, FL and Betty ANDERSON of Surprise, AZ; and son-in-law,
Marcus METOYER, Sr.; grandchildren, Marcus METOYER, Jr., Rosanna CRAWLEY, Deborah WALLACE, Tricia
AYERS, Fay and George PICKETT, AND Kim AGASVEERAN; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Naoma
LETTS REED and Olivia LETTS; and brother- and sister-in-law, Judge John and Agatha LETTS; several
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may view Mrs. Lett Thursday, October 22,
9 a.m. - 9 p.m., at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 1
p.m. at the Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service.
