KEREKES, Dr. Carl E.
Dimondale
Born October 15, 1934 in Cleveland, OH; died October 30, 1994 at the age of 60. A resident
of Lansing for 30 years; Dr. Kerekes graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary
Medicine in 1957 and served 2 years in the Army Vet. Corp. Dr. Kerekes was employed with Benson
Animal Hospital for several years, and in 1974 he opened his own veterinary practice in Dimondale.
He is survived 2 daughters, Anna KEREKES of Lansing and Kathleen "Kaye" KEREKES of Chicago, IL;
2 brothers, Robert of Louisiana and Jack of Maryland. Funeral services will be held Friday,
November 4, 4 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., with the
Rev. Mark D. Graham, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call
the Chapel beginning Thursday, 2 p.m. where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In
memory of Dr. Kerekes, those desiring may make contributions to Visiting Nurse Home Care &
Hospice, 4801 Willoughby, Suite 7, Holt, MI 48842-1092.
