Eaton Woman, 86, Dies; Leaves 97 Survivors

  Eaton Rapids, March 19 - Mrs. Ada HOWE, 86, of 514 River st., who leaves 97 survivors, died Sunday at an Eaton Rapids hospital after a long illness.
  Mrs. Howe was born in Aurelius township.
  Surviving are four sons, Harry and Harold, both of Eaton Rapids, Henry, Lansing, and Arthur, Charlotte; six daughters, Mrs. Fern BELLINGER, Mrs. Margaret PORTER and Mrs. Gladys HINTON, all of Eaton Rapids, Mrs. Myrtle HILLIARD, Dimondale, Mrs. Hazel SHEADER, Holt, and Mrs. Beatrice BRANDT, Royal Oak; 26 grandchildren, 43 great- grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Skinner funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. HOWE Survived By 115 Progeny

  After a lengthy stay in a convalescent home, Mrs. Ada Howe, 86, of 514 River street, died Sunday at Community hospital after being a patient there only three days. She leaves 115 survivors.
  Mrs. Howe was born Jan. 31, 1874, in Aurelius township and had lived all her life in this area. Her husband, James, died in 1955.
  Surviving are four sons, Harry and Harold, both of Eaton Rapids, Henry of Lansing and Arthur of Charlotte; six daughters, Mrs. Fern BELLINGER, Mrs. Margaret PORTER and Mrs. Gladys HINTON, all of Eaton Rapids, Mrs. Myrtle HILLIARD of Dimondale, Mrs. Hazel SHEADER of Holt and Mrs. Beatrice BRANDT of Royal Oak; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy BROWN of Mt. Pleasant; 26 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
  Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Skinner funeral home, the Rev. William Sherbert officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
