HODGES, Thelma E.
East Lansing
Age 80, passed away on March 9, 1992. She was born in Micado, MI on August 18, 1911, and has
lived in the Lansing area for 60 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the
Sparrow Hospital Auxiliary, Ingham County Medical Society Auxiliary, and the Matinee Musical.
She was formerly employed with the Ingham County Department of Social Services for 20 years. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Kenneth HODGES in 1951; and her son, Lt. Kenneth "Kip"
HODGES in 1956. Surviving are daughter and husband, Karelyn and William LOTZ of Hendersonville,
NC; stepgrandson, Mark LOTZ of Quincey, IL; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Carroll, Grant and
Norman LOVELACE, all of Ann Arbor; sister, Charlotte TIMMERMAN of Clinton, MI; nieces and nephews.
Religious services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip E. Henderson, of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, 1992 in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with
interment in the Wacousta Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sparrow Hospital Auxiliary,
Westminster Presbyterian Church, or to Camp Highfields.
