Eaton Pioneer dies at 102

  Eaton Rapids - Mrs. Jessie HALL, 102, daughter of a pioneer family in Eaton County, died Wednesday.
  She had been a patient in the Eaton County Medical Care facility for the past four-and-a-half years.
  A Former rural school teacher, she obtained her teaching certificate from Ypsilanti Normal.
  Mrs. Hall was born into a family of eight children of Warren and Olive BELLOWS who had come from Vermont to settle on a farm on Smith Road.
  "She used to tell how she rode the horse while a sister hung onto to the one- horse cultivator," her son, Warren of Eaton Rapids, recalled. Another son, John, died in an auto accident in 1938
  She Married Hugh M. HALL in 1894 when they were both 19. He died in 1959 shortly after celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.
  Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Shelly Funeral Home.
