Austin GWINNER Succumbs at 64
Austin Gwinner, 64, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his rooming house, 505 1/2 E. Shiawassee st.,
early Friday morning. His body was found in the bathroom by another roomer about 3 a.m.
A former employe of the city park and cmemtery commission, Mr. Gwinner had been a Lansing resident 45 years.
He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean LIPPINCOTT, Holt, and a son, Carl of North Star.
Services will be held at the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home Monday at 10:30 p.m.(a.m.?)

Age 64, died Friday at the residence. Mr. Gwinner was born July 9, 1892 in Gratiot county and was a resident of Lansing
for 45 years. He was an employe of city park department, and was a veteran of World War II (World War I?). Surviving are 1
daughter, Mrs. Jean LIPPINCOTT of Holt; 1 son, Carl GWINNER of North Star; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Josephine LAKE of Lansing,
Mrs. Marguerite CORUTHERS of Grand Rapids; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lillian BURGESS of Lansing and Mrs. Nellie COOK
of Flint; 1 brother, Garrett of Lansing. Funeral services will be held from the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Monday, Rev. Henry Date of the Mt. Hope Presbyterian church officiating. Interment in Little Arlington, Evergreen cemetery.
