GOFF, Fred W.
Houghton Lake
Age 67, died Wednesday, August 3, 1988 at a hospital in Traverse City. He was a resident of
Dimondale for 43 years, moving to Houghton Lake in 1979. He was employed with Fisher Body for 39
years, retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the American Legion Houghton-Higgens Lake Post #515 and had worked for many
years as a volunteer ambulance attendant in the Dimondale area. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Leota C. GOFF in October 1985. Surviving are 1 daughter, Mrs. Lynn J. (Connie J.) SICH of
Lansing; 1 son, Fred J. (Joy A.) GOFF of Mason; 3 granddaughters, Mrs. Roxey (Melony A.) FRONCKEL
of Lansing, Erin M. GOFF and Megan G. GOFF, both of Mason; 1 step-granddaughter, Laurie A. POJANI
of Arlington, TX; 4 brothers, Carl GOFF of Lansing, Earl, Emerson, and Reo GOFF, all of Dimondale;
3 sisters, Ada WILLIAMS of Fountain, Mildred MASTEN of Branch, MI and Lillian COCKER of Scotville;
many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Chapel In The Pines
Funeral Home with interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The family requests contributions to the
V.F.W. Home in Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Chapel In The
Pines Funeral Home.
