GEPHART, John D. "Jack"

Age 75, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at his residence. Born July 2, 1922 in Lansing the son of Walter O. and Dora Belle (MILLER) GEPHART. Jack was a retired electrician for Root Electrical in Lansing and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Lansing. Jack loved horses and was an active member of the Eaton County 4-H. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma in 1986. Surviving are his wife, Lois; 2 daughters, Nancy (Dean) FOX of Wheatfield, IN, Carol (Bob) KENNEDY of Eaton Rapids; step-children, Spencer (Sharon) CARROLL of Grand Ledge, Penny (Dick) JOHNSON of Olivet, Connie CARROLL of Eaton Rapids, Chris (Bill) ROGERS of Lansing; 2 grandchildren, Troy (Dawn) FOX of DeMotte, IN, Tina (Ed) HARRINTON of Wheatfield, IN; 4 step-grandchildren, Stacy SUEGE, Starla MANCHESTER, Deirdre SISSON and Stephanie MIKESOLL; 3 great grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Myra Lucille TOOKER of Lansing; and 2 nephews, Larry and Ross (Pat) TOOKER. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with Bishop Dean Fitches officiating. Interment will follow in the Dimondale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. For those desiring a memorial contribution may be made to the Hospice of Clinton Memorial & Sparrow, 304 N. Bush St., St. Johns, MI 48879 in memory of John D. Gephart.

  John D. "Jack" Gephart, age 75 of Eaton Rapids, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1922 in Lansing the son of Walter O. and Dora Belle (MILLER) GEPHART. Jack loved horses and was an active member of the Eaton County 4-H. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma in 1986.
  Surviving are his wife, Lois; 2 daughters, Nancy (Dean) FOX of Wheatfield, IN and Carol (Bob) KENNEDY of Eaton Rapids; step-children, Spencer (Sharon) CARROLL of Grand Ledge, Penny (Dick) JOHNSON of Olivet, Connie CARROLL of Eaton Rapids, Chris (Bill) ROGERS of Lansing; 2 grandchildren, Troy (Dawn) FOX of DeMotte, IN and Tina (Ed) HARRINGTON of Wheatfield, IN; 4 step-grandchildren, Stacy SUEGE, Starla MANCHESTER, Deirdre SISSON and Stephanie MIKESEL; 3 great grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Myra Lucille TOOKER of Lansing and 2 nephews, Larry and Ross (Pat) TOOKER.
  Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25 1998 from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with Bishop Dean Fitches officiating. Graveside Services followed in the Dimondale Cemetery in Dimondale. Casket bearers were Troy Fox, Ed Harrington, Norman Lautzenheiser, Ross Tooker, Dick Johnson and Spencer Carroll, honorary bearer, Bill Rogers.
