John H. GARDENER
St. Johns, Oct. 25 - John H. Gardener, 69, of 909 E. State st. in St. Johns, died Saturday at Clinton
Memorial hospital. Mr. Gardener was born Jan. 19, 1898 in Port Huron and lived in Lansing before moving to St. Johns in 1934.
He was married Elsie O. TWICHELL of Lansing March 21, 1915. Surviving him are his wife; one son, William L. of Skandia; and
eight daughters, Mrs. Esther TWICHELL of Eaton Rapids, Mrs. Annabelle NESS of Lansing, Mrs. Betty LABISKI of Ovid, Mrs.
Geraldine FARRIER of St. Johns, Mrs. Belva SIDLER of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Louella WALLING of St. Johns, Mrs. Shirley TAYLOR of
DeWitt and Mrs. Gladys CHURCH of Owosso. Mr. Gardener's mother, Mrs. Amelia GARDENER of St. Johns, also survives him along
with 30 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Osgood funeral home in
St. Johns with Rev. Leonard J. Clements officiating. Burial will be in Dimondale cemetery.
