Mason, Oct. 19 - Francis Free, 86, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Raymond CLARK, 50 Gale rd.,
Wednesday. He was born Jan. 24, 1864, in Berry county the son of John and Hulda FREE. He graduated from Michigan State
college in 1888 and was a member of the Patriache and Literary clubs at Michigan State college. He was also a member of the
Knights of Pythias. He was associated with the West Side Dairy of Lansing before his retirement. Funeral services will be
held at the Ball funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. Dr. John Vandermeulen, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Lansing,
will officiate. He is survived by the widow, Celia; two daughters, Mrs. CLARK and Mrs. Hubert COOPER, East Lansing; one
brother, Pelton J. SMITH, Holly; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Albion cemetery.
