Mr. Downing, age 63, died at the Veteran's Hospital in Ann Arbor on April 18, 1975. He had been a resident of the
Lansing area most of his life. He worked for the A & P Food Markets for 29 years, later as manager. He was assistant
manager of Gorman's Food Market for the past 5 years. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou ROSS of Holt. Religious
services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Estes-Leadley Holt Chapel with Rev. Myron K. Williams of the Holt
United Methodist Church, officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.

Mr. Karl Wesley Downing, 5109 Amsterdam, Holt, died Friday, April 18, at the Veteran's Hospital in Ann
Arbor, Michigan. He was 63.
Mr. Downing had been a resident of the Lansing area most of his life. He worked for the A & P Food Markets
for 29 years, later as manager. He was assistant manager of Gorman's Food Market for the past five years.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou ROSS of Holt.
Religious services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Estes-Leadley Holt Chapel with Rev. Myron K.
Williams of the Holt United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.
Bearers were Bruce Decke, Rawlin Shire, Pat Brisbee, Ellis Hamilton, Dan Gorman, and Wayne Banner.
