Holt
Age 84, passed away on February 20, 1993. He was born in Eaton Rapids, MI on November 14,
1908 to Albert and Jenny DENISON. He was a member of Holt Church of the Nazarene, and the Holt
Senior Citizens. he worked with the family auto parts store, Bert's Garage, and served with the
Delhi Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Viola and Almyra; and his brother, Carl.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Lylia; daughter, Carol SHULL of Lansing; grandson, Scott HAKES
of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Barbara ONGSTAD of Charlotte; sister, Jean WYTHE of Florida.
Religious services will be conducted by The Rev. Timothy R. Smith at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February
23, 1993 at the Holt Church of the Nazarene, 4851 W. Holt Rd., with interment in Dimondale
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel 2-4 p.m. and
7-9 p.m. Monday, and he will lie-in-state at the church from1:30 p.m. until service time on
Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the church's Building Fund.
