Formerly of Haslett, passed away Sept. 9, 1981 in Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Conklin was born in Acme, Mich. on July 28, 1898.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; 2 brothers, Mark and Dean GLENDENNING; 10 children, Mildred SALISBURY of Calif.,
Raymond and Everett SHERMAN of Mich., Gordon SHERMAN of Ariz., Enola HELMER and Carol SAWDY of Mich., Doris SMILEY of Nevada,
Bill SHERMAN of Mich., Patricia MOORE and Shirley CAMPBELL of Ariz.; step daughter, Sandra CONKLIN of Mich., and many
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Conklin retired from Michigan State University
in 1960 and was a member of the Blue Star Mother, the American Legion Auxiliary of Haslett and the Central Michigan Lapidary
and Mineral Society. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with the
Rev. William Dobbs of Calvary United Methodist church officiating. Interment iwll be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home Sunday after 6 p.m.
