CLEVER, Lillian J.

Age 93, went home to be with her Lord September 16, 1993. Her last wish was granted to die
at her home. Mrs. Clever was born August 12, 1900 in Delray and resided in the Detroit area,
until her marriage to Edward H. CLEVER. She attended the Lutheran Church in Detroit, then later
transferred to the Seymour Avenue Methodist Church (now known as the First United Methodist
Church on Delta River Dr.) and has been a member there ever since. Preceded in death by her
husband, Edward; 2 brothers, Emil SCHROEDER and Harold SCHROEDER; 1 sister, Dorothy KABILTZ; 1
daughter, Gloriana KEREKES. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Carolie (Carl) GEORGE of
Laingsburg; 7 grandchildren, Mrs. Karen L. (Jeffrey) HOLOWEIKO, Ms. Carla Sue GEORGE, Mr. Kim E.
(Gwen) GEORGE, Mr. Kevin C. GEORGE, Mr. Christopher C. (Terra) GEORGE, Ms. Anna T. KEREKES and
Ms. Kaye M. KEREKES; 4 great grandchildren, Samuel, Simon, and Seth HOLOWEIKO and Megan GEORGE;
also 8 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 11:30 a.m. at
Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Mark D. Graham, Pastor of the First United
Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at
the chapel beginning Sunday, 2 p.m. where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In
memory of Mrs. Clever, those desiring may make contributions to the Church or the Crippled
Childrens Society.
