Wayne S. CARROLL
Wayne S. Carroll, 75, of rural Grand Ledge died July 16, 1988, at his home.
Mr. Carroll was born on Nov. 19, 1912, in Roxand Township, the son of Allen and
Floy (TAYLOR) CARROLL. He lived in Danby Township for 72 years, worked as a farmer all his life
and during the war worked at Diamond Reo, Fisher Body, and Oldsmobile.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lois (BRONSON) CARROLL; one son, Spencer
CARROLL and wife Sharon of Grand Ledge; three daughters, Penny JOHNSON of Olivet and twins Connie
CARROLL of Eaton Rapids and Chris ROGERS and husband Bill of Grand Ledge; four granddaughters,
Stacy KIKUCHI and husband Masao of Battle Creek, Starla and Stephanie CARROLL of Grand Ledge and
Deirdre BRACE of Olivet; one great-granddaughter, Reiko KIKUCHI of Battle Creek; one sister,
Margaret KOSNIC of Ithaca; one brother, Floyd CARROLL and wife Lucille of Portland; one aunt,
Hilda KNOBBLOCK of Otsego; and 19 nieces and nephews.
Services were July 19 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Bishop Willis
Snow of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Speakers were Lloyd Cole and
Robert Doty. Interment was in Danby Cemetery.
