Eugene C. BUXTON

  Eugene C. Buxton, 67, of 710 Mahlon, died Thursday at a local hospital.
  A resident of Lansing 52 years, he retired from the Boy's Training School in 1970 after 19 years service. He was a member of the Miller Road Bible Church.
  Surviving are his wife, Leona; six sons, Eugene Jr. of Lakewood, Colo., Roy of Detroit, Jack of San Antonio, Texas, and Gerald, Allen and Terry of Lansing; six daughters, Mrs. Spring STOKEY of Sherman Oak, Cal., Mrs. Barbara WAGONER of Jackson; Mrs. Dorothy COLE of Big Rapids, Mrs. Marilyn CALTRIDER of Charlotte, and Mrs. Elaine KIBBEY and Miss Judy BUXTON of Lansing; two brothers including Horatio BUXTON of Lansing; and one sister Mrs. Dessie McDANIEL of Lansing.
  Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the church. The body is at Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel.

Age 67, died Sept. 21, 1972 at a local hospital. Born July 17, 1905 in Dawn, Ohio. Mr. Buxton had been a resident of Lansing 52 years and retired from the Boy's Training School in 1970 after 19 years of service. He was a member of the Miller Road Bible Church. Surviving are the wife Leona; 6 sons, Eugene Jr. of Lakewood, Colorado, Roy of Detroit, Jack of San Antonio, Texas, and Gerald, Allen and Terry of Lansing; 6 daughters, Mrs. Spring STOCKEY of Sherman Oak, Cal., Mrs. Barbara WAGONER of Jackson; Mrs. Dorothy COLE of Big Rapids, Mrs. Marilyn CALTRIDER of Charlotte, Mrs. Elaine KIBBEY and Miss Judy BUXTON both of Lansing; 43 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Horatio BUXTON of Lansing and Glen BUXTON of Ashland, Ohio; 1 sister Mrs. Dessie McDANIEL of Lansing. Funeral services will be held Monday 1 p.m. at the Miller Road Bible Church with Dr. James C. Dotson officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel Sat. and Sun. from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
