Michigan Waters Take Lives of 21 During Weekend
A 6-year-old Indiana girl who drowned at Lake Lansing Sunday afternoon and an 11-
year-old boy who fell from a dock in Mecosta County were among 21 persons who lost their lives in
Michigan waters over the weekend....
...Steven Joe BULMER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. BULMER of 1534 Ohio St.,
drowned in Chippewa lake, Mecosta County, when he fell from a dock at a public fishing site....
...Young Bulmer had been a lifetime resident of Lansing. He attended High Street
School.
Surviving besides his parents; are five brothers, Robert, Lyle, Jack, Howard, and
Stanley; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DEDAFOE of Dimondale, and great-grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Ford HILLIARD of Dimondale.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman
Funeral Home with burial in Dimondale Cemetery....

Age 11, died Sunday at Chippewa Lake. Born Oct. 6, 1954, in Lansing A lifetime resident of
Lansing. Attended High Street School, assisted his brother Robert on a State Journal paper route.
Surviving are: the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. BULMER; 5 brothers, Robert, Lyle, Jack, Howard,
and Stanley; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DEDAFOE, Dimondale, and great-grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ford HILLIARD, Dimondale. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the
Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas A. Smith of Ashbury Methodist Church officiating.
Interment in Dimondale Cemetery.
