BARRON, Leo D.

Age 75, passed away on July 15, 1989. Mr. Barron was born May 28, 1914 in Audburn, New
York and had been a resident of Lansing since 1948. He was a graduate of both Eastern Michigan
University, earning his B.A. Degree, and Michigan State University, earning his M.A. Degree, a
member of Kappa Phi Fraternity, and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Barron was retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Social Services with over 30
years of service. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Terry Ann
BARRON of Washington, and Cecilia and Alan SMITH of Florida; 2 step sons, Donald L. EITNIEAR, and
Terry L. EITNIEAR, both of Dimondale; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Maerose
BARRON of New York. Religious services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, in the Estes-Leadley
Greater Lansing Chapel with Rev. Fr. William R. Lugger of St. Casimir Catholic Church officiating
with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at the Funeral Home at 8 p.m.
Tuesday. Bearers are Fred Muenchen, Ray Muenchen, Richard Muenchen, Bob Muenchen, Rick Rees and
Doug Garton. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Monday, and from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
