Grandma Dedafoe's Scrapbook
This is the collection of obituaries and funeral cards that my Grandma Dedafoe collected over her lifetime.  A lot  of them are of family members, close and distant, and others are of people she knew.  When I was younger I would wonder why  she "wasted" so much time cutting them out.  But now that she is gone, I realized that she was saving her history to share  with us.  Some of the names featured here are: ABEL, ALLEN, ARTZ, BATES, BEECH, BELLINGER, BOLLINGER, BRONSON, BRYAN, BUCK, BULMER, CARMONEY, CAUDILL, COOK, COULTER, CRANSON, CRISHER, CRITTENDEN, CULVER, DAHER, DAVIS, DAY, DEDAFOE, DEMILLER, DENBY, DENISON, DISBROW, DOWNING, DUNN, EATON, EDDY, FIGG, FINISON, GAMBLE, GEISENHAFER, GLEASON, GOFF, GOODRICH, GREEN, GWINNER, HADLEY, HALL, HENRY, HILLIARD,  HINES, HINTON, HOLLOWAY, HORSTMYER, HOUSTON, HOWE, HUTT, JACHALKE, JARVIS, JEFFERY, JONES, KEESLER, KEMPER, KEREKES,  KREY, LEONARD, LESLIE, LETT, LONG, LOVELL, LUNDBERG, MCBRIDE, MCCLINTOCK, MCCOLLUM, MCMASTER, MEAD, MOCHMAR,  MORRISON, NORRIS, NORTON, PIERSON, PORTER, RINK, ROBINSON, RUSSELL, SAIER, SAUNTMAN, SCARBROUGH, SHEADER, SHIVELY,  SILSBY, SMITH, SNOW, STROBEL, SWIX, TAUL, TOLLES, TOWSLEY, TWICHELL, WEEKS, YARIGER, YOUNG plus many more.
Please Note: I am not totally sure which newspapers all of the obituary clippings came from (Most are from the  Lansing State Journal)and as usual, cannot completely guarantee how accurate the information is (I have found a few mistakes  myself). But this is just another source to find information on ancestry to hopefully discover something new or confirm  something known.
